As a Software Validation Engineer, you are the bridge between pure code and physical reality. You will design and maintain the environments—Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL)—that allow us to stress-test our power electronics and site controllers. Your mission is to build the automated frameworks that catch edge cases before they hit the field, ensuring every product we ship meets the highest standards of reliability. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Validation Environment Design: Architect and scale our SIL and HIL environments (using platforms like Typhoon HIL, Opal-RT, or similar) to provide high-fidelity simulations of battery assets and grid conditions
• Test Automation Frameworks: Lead the development of automated test suites in Python. You will transition our validation processes from manual intervention to a fully automated, scalable framework
• V&V Strategy: Define and execute comprehensive Verification and Validation (V&V) plans, ensuring all software requirements for the site controller and embedded power electronics are met under normal and fault conditions
• CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated HIL/SIL testing into our CI/CD pipelines, providing real-time feedback to the development teams and serving as the final gate for production-ready code
• Hardware-in-the-Loop Interfacing: Design custom interface hardware and wiring for HIL benches, bridging physical I/O from our controllers to simulated power stages
• Root Cause Analysis: Work closely with the firmware and systems teams to debug complex failures found during validation, using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and telemetry logs to pinpoint issues

Qualifications 

• Background: A BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, combined with 2+ years of professional experience in software validation or test automation for hardware-focused systems
• HIL/SIL Mastery: Proven experience with real-time simulation platforms (Typhoon HIL, Opal-RT, or dSPACE) and a deep understanding of how to model power electronics components in a virtual environment
• Automation Toolchain: Expert proficiency in Python (specifically for test automation frameworks like Pytest) and familiarity with Rust and C/C++ to navigate embedded codebases
• Hardware Literacy: Comfortable in a high-voltage lab environment. You should be proficient with standard lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads) and digital protocols like CAN, SPI, and Ethernet

Infrastructure Software Engineer, Energy Storage 

The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the foundational platform infrastructure that enables our engineering team to develop and deploy Battery Energy Storage Systems reliably and at scale. This role serves as a force-multiplier across the organization, owning edge fleet management, server provisioning, and deployment automation while ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and performant. The position partners closely with cross-functional engineering teams to translate early deployment learnings into platform improvements and drive resolution of scalability, reliability, and security challenges. Success in this role requires deep technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced, early-stage environment. 

Responsibilities will include: 

• Design and own the rollout of edge Kubernetes fleet management, automated server provisioning, and software update pipelines to support scalable and reliable system deployment.

The Maneuver Subdivision focuses on rapidly deployable platforms that must endure extreme environments. For example, Anduril’s Mobile Sentry, a ruggedized, mobile platform that uses artificial intelligence for highly accurate, persistent autonomous ground or air awareness through use of various sensors. This role will own rapidly developed, ruggedized electronics design in addition to scaling legacy design concepts to support full-rate production. In this role, you will partner with our Architecture and Product Management team to help drive system requirements prior to owning full PCB and/or electrical system design. This will require identifying high risk areas, creating and validating electronics designs for embedded compute and/or power systems, and testing for long term-reliability while considering manufacturability and testability in the design.

We are looking for a Senior Signal Processing Engineer to join our rapidly growing team in Costa Mesa, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development discrimination algorithms that separate threats from non-threats, decoys, and debris using EO/IR sensor data for space and missile defense missions. You will design signal processing pipelines including detection, feature extraction, image processing, and develop advanced decision logic to enhance classification performance. This will require deep expertise in signal processing for EO/IR sensors, classification algorithms, detection theory, and proficiency in algorithm development. WHAT YOU’LL DO

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related technical field
• 8+ years of experience designing, implementing, and testing signal processing algorithms for EO/IR sensors or similar sensing modalities in aerospace or defense systems
• Proven expertise in EO/IR sensor phenomenology including noise characteristics, detection theory, SNR analysis, resolution limits, and environmental effects
• Strong proficiency with signal processing techniques including detection algorithms, filtering, and measurement generation from sensor data
• Proficiency in algorithm development and coding with demonstrated experience transitioning algorithms to production environments

ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking to hire a Systems Engineer to join our rapid growing team in Irvine, CA. The Air Defense team has the most complex capability that Anduril has fielded to date. Each deployment often comes with a unique combination of hardware and software products in various configurations, targeting different mission sets, and optimized for different customer expectations. We need systems engineers who are capable of internalizing the nuances of each deployment and owning the technical success of the end-to-end solution we ship.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead the capture of requirements and capabilities for system integrations
• Lead the integration of emerging capabilities, bringing new products into the family of systems. This may include scoping and executing on a combination of hardware and software solutions, both internal and external to the company.

As a member of Anduril’s Technical Operations team, you will be responsible for deploying and supporting Anduril’s products all over the world. You will go forward with products early on in their lifecycle and work with engineering teams to iteratively improve them over time. Your efforts will ensure that Anduril products seamlessly work together to achieve a variety of critical outcomes. WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Write and maintain core libraries and services that perform critical functions for collaborative teams of robots - for example, frame transformations, targeting and guidance, etc.
• Own major feature development and rollout of large, complex features for our products. This includes systems analysis, sensor selection and integration, perception architecture and implementation, motion planning, health management, behavior analysis, simulation and test infrastructure, and interfaces with lower- and higher-level systems.

• 3+ years of C++ or Rust experience in a Linux development environment

ABOUT THE ROLE

Anduril is seeking a Firmware Engineer to join our team based in Irvine, CA. The Sentry Firmware team at Anduril develops core technology used for our Sentry Tower product line. We work in close coordination with Electrical Engineering to develop hardware and software solutions to some of the hardest problems facing our customers. You'll contribute low level firmware development for systems operating on land, sea, and air.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Develop low-level firmware/software for microcontrollers, create reusable device drivers, integrate system-level features and architect changes to support an ever-growing codebase
• Take full ownership of design, implementation and completion of embedded firmware projects
• Mentor other firmware engineers and help teach best practices in design engineering
• Contribute to team direction, policy and guidance
• Quickly debug and troubleshoot issues that span the electrical, firmware, and software boundaries

You will be directly responsible for defining system requirements from both loose “desirements” and contractual requirements to develop a comprehensive set of requirements with an actionable verification strategy.

The ideal candidate will partner very closely with the Hardware and Software Engineering, Program Management, and Air Defense cross-functional teams. The Sentry Engineering team builds hardware products and systems that leverage artificial intelligence to provide highly accurate, persistent autonomous awareness across land, sea and air. This role will support rapidly developed, ruggedized product introduction in addition to scaling legacy design concepts to support full-rate production with full product traceability. You will be directly responsible for defining system requirements from both loose “desirements” and contractual requirements to develop a comprehensive set of requirements with an actionable verification strategy.

The ideal candidate will partner very closely with the Hardware and Software Engineering, Program Management, and Air Defense cross-functional teams. As an Electro Optical System Engineer for our Space team, you will facilitate the integration of EO Payloads on our spacecraft platforms from initial concept development through on-orbit execution. A successful candidate will have experience during all phases of payload system engineering including architecture and requirement derivation, performance modeling, design reviews, laboratory testing, spacecraft assembly integration and test, on-orbit initialization, and mission operations. A proven history of interfacing with all disciplines of the engineering, specialty, and program management team to shepherd a payload design to maturity is required. 

You’ll be expected to clearly communicate risk, issues, and progress with customer representatives and external vendors in a collaborative environment. We are especially seeking candidates with hands-on experience in optical laboratories characterizing and calibrating optical payloads. You will be expected to know how to configure and operate test equipment such as collimators, integrating spheres, interferometers, and other tools. You will work closely with other AI&T professionals and be expected to train others how to also use this equipment. Payloads you will be interacting with include photon detecting imagers from visible through long wave infrared wavebands including CMOS and CCD focal planes, thermal sensors including microbolometers, as well as LiDAR and laser range finders. • Perform concept designs of active and passive EO payloads

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer, Space to join our rapidly growing team in Costa Mesa, CA. In this role, you will be help lead development of technical strategy and roadmapping in conjunction with the Chief Engineer of Space Missions and the Growth/Strategy leads of the Orbital Systems team that effectively leverages current Anduril technologies and newly developed technologies to serve the customer mission areas. This role will address pre-award demonstrations, early contract phases, and full-contract execution. The Senior Systems Engineer, working with a multi-disciplinary engineering team, will ensure the efficient development and delivery of hardware and software solutions for the customer.

These efforts will include leading complex, integrated systems for on-orbit operations and demonstrations to include sub-contracted teammates and strategic partnerships. The systems engineer will need to facilitate effective technical development and integration that spans company-boundaries in an agile development approach in the context of a continuous integration/continuous deployment paradigm. They will need to balance development of new capabilities with the incorporation of several pre-existing Anduril capabilities and need to effectively communicate the development status to customers.

The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for technical oversight of all aspects of program execution from proposals to SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, assembly, qualification testing, and delivery of flight units for launch. The Senior Systems Engineer in conjunction with the Chief Engineer of Space Missions will assist in building out the necessary infrastructure for Anduril to execute on all necessary aspects of satellite and payload build and test to include working with external vendors for establishing test requirements and pass/fail criteria. The Senior Systems Engineer will also work closely with the Anduril Space C2 team to enable and deliver Space Ground C2 products to both the customer and to further Anduril’s penetration into customer ecosystems.

• Experience with US government space mission areas and associated CONOPS for successfully executing missions to enable space for the warfighter
• Design and development of space vehicle and payload architectures and detailed mission solutions to complex space domain challenges
• Strong technical communication skills, providing the ability to deliver critical technical briefings and conclusions to technical leadership, company leadership, and customers
