Telnyx Edge Compute is our serverless platform — it lets developers deploy Go, Python, and Java functions directly onto Telnyx's global network, running application logic milliseconds away from end users. It's how our customers handle webhooks, voice and messaging events, and AI inference at the edge, without touching a server.
We're looking for a Go engineer to join the Edge Compute squad and help us build the platform behind it. You'll be working on the runtime, the deployment pipeline, the CLI, and the control plane that makes "write a function, deploy it globally" feel effortless. The systems you build will be used by every developer on Telnyx — so the bar for reliability, performance, and developer experience is high.
What you'll do
- Design and build the Go services that power our serverless runtime, function deployment pipeline, and global control plane.
- Make the platform feel great to use — clean APIs, a sharp CLI, predictable behaviour, useful error messages. Developer experience is a feature, not an afterthought.
- Diagnose and fix latency, throughput, and reliability issues across a system that spans data centres around the world.
- Build automation and tooling that lets us operate the platform safely at scale.
- Participate in on-call for the systems you build.
What we're looking for
- 2-5 years of professional backend software development experience.
- Proficiency in Go, or strong experience in a comparable backend language (Rust, Java, C++) with a real interest in writing Go day-to-day.
- Solid grounding in distributed systems — you've debugged a service-to-service problem in production and know what kinds of things go wrong at the edges.
- Experience running services in a high-availability environment, including being on-call.
- Comfort designing APIs that other engineers (internal or external) will actually use.
- Working knowledge of relational databases — when to reach for one, and when not to.
Bonus points for
- Experience building developer tools, platforms, runtimes, or anything where your users are other engineers.
- Familiarity with serverless or edge-compute platforms (Cloudflare Workers, Fastly Compute, Lambda, Fly.io, Deno Deploy, etc.).
- Experience with our stack: Docker, Kubernetes, Consul, Prometheus, RabbitMQ, Jenkins.
- Experience operating systems across multiple regions or data centres.
- Open source contributions, particularly in the Go ecosystem.

What You’ll Do
You will be working for some of the biggest brands and companies in the world. We’re growing very quickly so the pace is fast, but you will be working alongside other very smart colleagues with brand new technologies, in a fun, collaborative environment, and growth opportunities are numerous.
In our stack we have php, mongodb, orientedb, redis, docker, javascript / typescript, node.js, and vue.js among others. We have a complete stack for functional testing, from unit to E2E and also for non-functional, specially for performance. We welcome the use of new tools/languages that help us improve.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Lead the cultural evolution in the Software Engineering team through the use of best practices to ensure product success, like test automation, monitoring, product specifications, pipelines configuration, testing strategy, etc.
- Develop metrics and reports to proactively identify potential quality risks.
- Proactively research emerging technologies and solutions to enhance quality. Implement continuous self-training and knowledge sharing with software engineers on new quality practices and tools.
- Understand in depth the customer's needs, observe behaviors in order to identify usage patterns to improve the quality assurance processes.
- Document the design patterns/best practices for the automation framework.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated tests.
- Be responsible for the development pipeline in terms of quality on CI.
Skills Required:
- Vast (4+ years) experience automation testing web applications.
- Experience developing using automation frameworks in Node/JS, ideally WebdriverIO but other options like NightwatchJS, Puppeteer, Cypress.io, etc., are acceptable.
- Experience using Page Objects, UI maps, etc (widely accepted design patterns for Selenium).
- Experience implementing jobs with GitlabCI, and optionally Jenkins.
- Experience in unit testing.
- Utilizes AI tools to enhance coding speed and integrates with other tools using MCPs.
- Experience with bug tracking tools like Jira, Testrails, etc.
- Experience analyzing software quality using data and implementing metrics and dashboards, ideally using Databricks.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Fluent oral and written Spanish skills.
- Oral and written English communication skills.

We seek a Principal QA Automation Engineer with a strong background in Cypress, JavaScript/TypeScript, and proven experience working in AI-driven applications within an AWS cloud environment. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of quality engineering, automation strategy, and modern AI integration. As a senior technical leader, you will own the design, development, and maintenance of a robust test automation framework, ensure seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines, and bring forward-thinking approaches to testing intelligent, adaptive systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end test automation frameworks using Cypress with TypeScript.
- Define quality strategies for applications with AI/ML components, including deterministic and non-deterministic testing approaches.
- Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and AI/ML teams to ensure quality across AI-infused features in production environments.
- Build and scale testing strategies for threaded AI applications running in AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support frequent, reliable deployments.
- Mentor and guide mid- and senior-level QA engineers, setting best practices and driving a culture of quality-first development.
- Evaluate and introduce new tools, libraries, and frameworks to improve test coverage, performance, and developer experience.

- Analyze test results, track quality metrics, and communicate risk and coverage to stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Cypress for UI and end-to-end automation testing.
- Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript and Python
- Proven experience testing AI-powered or machine learning applications, including AI model validation techniques.
- Strong understanding of AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3, SQS, CloudWatch, ECS/EKS) and how to validate applications deployed in cloud environments.
- Experience with threaded/multi-agent AI tools and how they impact test design and validation.
- Familiarity with version control (Git), containerization (Docker), and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI).
- Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of AI model evaluation, model versioning, and monitoring tools (e.g., SageMaker, MLflow, LangChain, Vector Databases).
- Experience testing APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Background in testing non-deterministic systems, including applying statistical or heuristic testing approaches.
- Contributions to open-source testing or AI tools are a plus.

We are seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role focused on 90% Automation and 10% Exploratory/Manual Testing.
You will work within an existing test automation framework, focusing on expanding coverage, improving flaky tests continuously, maintaining the health of our CI/CD pipelines, and identifying extensions in the framework to support commerce e2e tests. Partner with the Test Automation team to align on framework improvements and architectural changes, requesting and/or implementing the extensions needed to support complex commerce testing scenarios.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Test Development & Maintenance: Write, optimize, and maintain automated E2E test scripts using Playwright and TypeScript. You will focus on script stability, using best practices to eliminate flakiness.
- Exploratory Testing: Perform manual exploratory testing on new features to uncover edge cases, logic gaps, and usability issues that automated checks might miss.
- Pipeline Health: Monitor and troubleshoot test execution in CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI). You are responsible for analyzing failure logs and ensuring rapid feedback for the nightly smoke/regression tests and builds.
- Framework Collaboration: Act as a primary consumer of our internal automation framework. You will identify the gaps in the framework, propose solutions, and collaborate with the Test Automation Team to review and implement the proposed solutions.
- Defect Reporting: Create detailed bug reports with reproduction steps, logs, and screenshots, working closely with developers to verify fixes.

The Job
- Build the tools that power GoFundMe’s risk intelligence. Design and implement scalable backend services, APIs, and dashboards that integrate data from payment processors, KYC/KYB systems, and internal transaction logs.
- Enable data-driven decisioning. Develop real-time pipelines and tooling for risk evaluation, transaction monitoring, and fraud detection; optimizing for both protection and conversion.
- Bridge risk, compliance, and engineering. Collaborate with Data Platform, Risk, and Product to build automation that enables proactive monitoring, alerting, and case management.
- Own end-to-end systems. From ingestion and normalization to visualization and workflow automation, you’ll drive the architecture for reliable, secure, and auditable risk tooling.
- Advance compliance at scale. Contribute to building frameworks that help GoFundMe remain compliant with global regulations while maintaining a seamless user experience.
- Champion engineering excellence. Participate in code reviews, improve standards, and mentor engineers across data tooling and backend systems.
- Stay close to impact. Participate in on-call rotations to ensure uptime, responsiveness, and reliability for mission-critical systems.
You
- 5+ years of professional backend software development experience, including building, deploying, and operating customer-facing applications at scale.
- Strong proficiency and hands-on experience with one or more backend programming languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin, PHP).
- Strong proficiency and hands-on experience with event driven development, preferably using Kafka
- Solid professional experience with relational database design, schema modeling, query optimization, and working with ORMs or data access layers.
- Proven experience designing, building, securing, and maintaining GraphQL and/or RESTful APIs using standard frameworks and industry best practices.
- Demonstrable experience identifying, diagnosing, and resolving complex performance and scalability problems in backend systems.
- Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows (e.g., branching strategies, code reviews, pull requests) in a team environment.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and associated tooling (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Spinnaker) for automated testing and deployment.
- Experience thriving and contributing effectively in an agile, intensely iterative software development process.
- Experience using application performance monitoring (APM) and log analytics tools for diagnostics, observability, and alerting.
