The development team has full responsibility for the development lifecycle. This means we plan, develop, test and deploy our software without any other internal or external dependencies.

We are building a next-generation AI platform designed to redefine how our company interacts with customers. This isn't just a chatbot; it's a high-performance, multimodal AI ecosystem powered by state-of-the-art Speech-to-Speech (S2S) models, advanced Large Language Models (LLMs), and intelligent orchestration frameworks. Our platform will understand, reason, and respond across text and voice — while seamlessly executing real-time actions to resolve customer needs.
We are aiming for a hybrid architecture of Open Source LLMs, industry-leading proprietary models, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) to enable contextual reasoning, tool invocation, and seamless orchestration across systems. The goal is not just to talk to the customer, but to act on their needs.
The Voice Frontier: We are building low-latency, emotive speech-to-speech pipelines for a truly natural voice channel experience.
Deep System Integration: Our platform connects directly to the company's core systems via MCPs, allowing the AI to access real-time customer context and execute complex workflows.
Self-Evolving Logic: We are developing an automated QA and evaluation module that continuously analyzes interactions across channels.By programmatically measuring quality, accuracy, latency, and resolution outcomes, we can close the feedback loop, and adapt system behavior in hours, not weeks.

IONOS is the largest cloud hoster in Europe and is setting up the foundation as European Cloud Provider. This includes not just offering storage that can compete with the American hyper-scalers, but that offers the full infrastructure stack, including AI & Machine Learning Products. As the largest hosting company in Europe, we manage more than 8 million customer contracts and host over 12 million domains in our own regional data centers in the US and Europe.
The AI & ML Products Development department is responsible for building the platform for ML Services products for IONOS Cloud customers, as well as other companies in the United Internet group.
Our most recent product development features integration of GenerativeAI foundational models, LLMs and others. We run foundational models on prem in our cloud, such as Meta’s Llama, Mistral or StableDiffusion and also VectorDBs and offer them via APIs to our cloud customers.
We are also working with classic ML models for Computer Vision, NLP), audio/voice processing & predictions.
Our team is working with technologies such as HugginFace frameworks, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, vLLM, notebooks, MLflow and others.
On the platform side, technologies: GoLang, Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Hibernate, SQL (PostgreSQL and MySQL) and NOSQL (Redis, MongoDB).
We deploy everything to cloud-native Docker / Kubernetes environments, making use of GitHub + Actions, ArgoCD, Prometheus, and other modern cloud technologies.

We are hiring a Director of Technical Support (International) to play a pivotal role in scaling our Tier 1 and Tier 2 Technical Support teams globally. The Legion application is a high-performance data-driven Java enterprise application that implements sophisticated scheduling and optimization algorithms. It also provides the necessary endpoints for our Web and mobile frontend applications. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a member of the team responsible for the implementation and evolution of this application. You will need to be able to write secure, efficient, enterprise-quality Java code, and have a deep understanding of the techniques and technologies that are necessary for scalability and performance. You will also need knowledge and experience with data modeling and relational databases. Our application runs on AWS, so experience with containerization and cloud deployments is desirable. We're using Springboot, Hibernate, MySQL, and JSON, so familiarity with these technologies will be helpful. Frontend experience in JavaScript and Angular and/or React is a big plus.

The ML Platform Team makes ML/AI easy at scale. We streamline development, testing and deployment of ML/AI systems for hundreds of real-time algorithms.
We own training orchestration, an inference software stack and infrastructure, and a Feature Store, including VectorSearch and RAG tooling. We develop LLM tools and CI/CD for ML, covering the whole range of ML infrastructure needs.
