What you’ll be doing
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to support build, test, and release workflows.
- Developing automation and tooling in Python to streamline test orchestration and system validation.
- Creating and running automated tests across unit, integration, and system layers.
- Debugging and diagnosing issues across build, test, and deployment environments.
- Supporting Linux and Windows development environments and contributing to cross-platform scripting.

What we are looking for
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Groovy or equivalent).
- Strong Python 3 skills for automation, tooling, and test orchestration.
- Experience developing and executing automated tests at multiple levels.
- Fluency with Linux and Windows development environments.
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as python, bash, or PowerShell.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve issues across complex build and test systems.
- Familiarity with test frameworks such as pytest, GTest, or similar.
- Understanding of software quality metrics, reporting, and test strategy.
- Experience or awareness in one or more additional areas: C/C++, CMake, C#, Rust, .NET, Docker, Kubernetes, VM orchestration, graphics APIs, AIML/MLOps, or desktop app testing.

Job Summary
We are looking for a highly experienced Lead Engineer Support Linux Engineer to guide and develop a small group supporting engineering systems in a fast-paced AI-centered environment.
The position requires strong Linux skills combined with leadership, automation, and DevOps approaches to maintain systems that are reliable, scalable, and easy to support at scale. An important responsibility is developing and managing a configuration-as-code environment. In this setup, system configuration and operations are handled through automation, pipelines, and source control rather than manual intervention.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Guide, mentor, and cultivate a team of Linux Engineering Support Engineers, defining clear roles, responsibilities, and methods of collaboration
- Own and oversee support for Linux-based systems and engineering environments, ensuring stability, performance, and availability
- Act as a point of contact for complex technical issues and outages, providing hands-on support when a customer concern arises
- Diagnose and resolve high-impact system and interoperability issues across mixed and distributed environments
- Perform hands-on investigation and troubleshooting to understand issues and drive effective solutions
- Direct incident response efforts, encompassing triage, coordination, and resolution
- Take responsibility for and lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes, ensuring preventative improvements are identified and applied

- Develop firmware and services for management controllers at every level: rack management, BMC, and board/device controllers (RTOS and bare metal)

- Integrate with the wider host/device stack (drivers and runtime libraries) so the system works end-to-end

As a Silicon Verification Engineer, you will be reporting to the Director of Frontend Silicon, and will be based in either our Bristol or London office in the UK. We are looking for you to take an active role in building world-class ML/AI IC products for scale-out to data centre applications. You will be ambitious and have a proven track record in working in high-performance delivery organisations in the discipline of pre-silicon RTL verification.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about verification – not someone content to go through the motions, but rather looking to push the field further forwards. If you get excited about bringing software concepts to hardware workflows, and enjoy improving established practices to increase tape-out quality and bring down costs, then this is the role for you.
Our preferred candidate will be comfortable working alongside colleagues across the organisation from disciplines such as modelling, system architecture and RTL design. The Role:
We are looking to hire Post-Silicon Validation Engineers to join our collaborative, cross-functional development team validating cutting edge, high performance AI chips and platforms. You will play a critical role in supporting new product introductions and post-silicon validation. Working within the Post-Silicon Validation team, you will be involved with bringing first silicon to life, functionally validating it and working closely with many other teams to help it become a fully characterised and working product, reporting project status/progress to program management on a regular basis. You will have the opportunity to, and be responsible for, leading, mentoring, and providing technical guidance to other engineering team members. The Post-Silicon Validation team sits within the Architecture and Validation team, we are responsible for validation of new silicon when it returns from manufacture, enabling and supporting the production SW and FW teams to bring up their software and also supporting the Silicon Characterisation team.

- Plan, design, develop and debug silicon validation tests in bare metal C/C++ on FPGA/Emulator prior to first silicon
- Deploy silicon validation tests on first silicon and debugging them
- Develop automated test framework and regression test suites in Python to optimize validation efficiency

Job Summary
Reporting to a Team Lead in the frameworks team you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, optimising, maintaining and supporting the software required to ensure the machine learning accelerators that Graphcore develop, enjoy first-class support in state-of-the-art machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch and Triton.
This role sees you joining our PyTorch team, where you will be part of a SCRUM team working on delivering new features, optimise performance, reviewing code changes, writing technical documentation, working with upstream communities, maintaining the code base and supporting users.
In this role you will closely collaborate with other engineers, both within the PyTorch team as well as other engineering teams. You help the team coordinate and deliver complex, open-ended technical tasks. You are pro-active and an excellent communicator. You will develop deep expertise in the PyTorch project and will (in time) contribute to the team’s technical direction and processes. Job Summary
Reporting to a Team Lead in the frameworks team you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, optimising, maintaining and supporting the software required to ensure the machine learning accelerators that Graphcore develop enjoy first-class support in state-of-the-art machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch and Triton (note: “Triton” here refers to the Triton language/compiler and not the inference framework).
This role sees you joining our Triton team, where you will be part of a SCRUM team working on delivering new features, optimise performance, reviewing code changes, writing technical documentation, working with upstream communities, maintaining the code base and supporting users.
In this role you will closely collaborate with other engineers, both within the Triton team as well as other engineering teams. You help the team coordinate and deliver complex, open-ended technical tasks. You are pro-active and an excellent communicator. You will develop deep expertise in the Triton project and will (in time) contribute to the team’s technical direction and processes. You understand the importance of managing code quality and code complexity and balancing this against the need to deliver business outcomes.

We are looking for a high-quality Test Development Engineer to complement our existing team. You will be working closely with the hardware and software development teams to develop and maintain test systems in support of preproduction test solutions. The Team
The Hardware test team are part of a larger Hardware team that consists of Signal Integrity (SI), Mechanical, layout, package and Hardware engineers. The Hardware team is responsible for delivering state of the art accelerators for machine learning and collaborates with the Silicon, Firmware and Production teams during product development.
Responsibilities and Duties
A successful candidate will work within Hardware Engineering Team to define test methods, specify suitable test equipment and automate test systems. The team is currently responsible for testing, debugging and characterising high speed serial links, power supplies that can deliver high current and adapt to fast transients. We also debug and characteratize slower speed protocols like JTAG , I2C I3C and low level PCBA debug.
Developing a deep understanding of Graphcore hardware and software products and how to operate them in a test environment is essential for this position.
You will be expected to understand relevant industry performance test standards, data analysis and presentation systems. Contributions are expected to span multiple areas and involve:
- Manual testing and debug of complex high speed SERDES which include PCIe Gen 6 and 112/224Gb PAM4 ethernet. This will require the use of high bandwidth oscilloscopes, BERTs and VNA’s, and the ability to understand complex IEEE standards.

The System Software group comprises of the Firmware team, the Drivers and Utilities team and, the System QA team. Job Summary
Reporting to the Firmware Manager, the Graduate Firmware Engineer will contribute to the design, development and delivery of the firmware that powers our next generation products. They are expected to take part in technical discussions across multiple teams within Graphcore and our partners.

Job Summary
The System Software group comprises of the Firmware team, the Drivers and Utilities team and, the System QA team. We are responsible for the enablement of all silicon and hardware platforms produced by our colleagues at Graphcore. As a hardware development engineer you will analyse system requirements and design circuit solutions, in collaboration with Graphcore’s Silicon, Architecture and Software Teams. You will generate schematics and PCB layout constraints and work closely with the PCB CAD team to realise the designs. You will define test and validation plans, run test campaigns, report results, work closely with the firmware and system architecture teams to interpret results, debug and improve performance.
You will be expert in microprocessor system design and debug, with a deep understanding of processor power supply, reset & clocking requirements, memory, communications and control interfaces.
The Team
Graphcore’s Hardware Engineering Team creates both products for sale in volume production and hardware test & validation systems based on Graphcore’s IPU processor. These systems allow Graphcore’s customers to develop leading-edge machine-learning solutions for training and inference.
What you’ll be doing
Development of production systems and test boards for Graphcore’s family of processors which includes:
- Circuit design, requirements analysis, functional definition, and component selection
- PCB Layout constraint definition, and support of PCB CAD layout team
- Circuit validation and verification
- Design and running of tests to validate circuit performance and margin
- Debugging and optimisation, in collaboration with the firmware team, of the correct system performance of microcontroller hardware control code
- Prototype production support, prototype bringup, evaluation & system test, prototype validation.

The Role
Support Engineer – End User Computing.
The End User Computing team look after all the technology used directly by humans in our organisation, such as the Windows and Linux desktops and Windows server infrastructure (including active directory, application deployment, clustered enterprise database systems, monitoring and automated build systems), audio-visual deployments, LAN, internet, and WiFi network environments and a wide range of enterprise applications (including e-mail, third-party productivity tools, and finance-specific applications). We exhibit special expertise in automation (predominantly in PowerShell, but also in python and other languages).
We currently operate 4 days a week in-office, 1 from home.
Responsibilities
- You will support our employees in their day-to-day use of the computer systems in our Bristol Office and offer remote support to other European offices as required.
- Perform day-to-day operations, support, and maintenance of our IT platform and cloud applications, including (but not limited to): Microsoft 365, Slack, Active Directory, Jira, VC Estate and other IT related systems.
- Co-own and continuously improve the onboarding processes for both users and hardware in the Bristol office.
- Co-Manage IT asset tracking and lifecycle processes (procurement, deployment, refresh, and disposal).
- Contribute to the global Windows platform, supporting standardisation, optimisation, and continuous improvement.
- Diagnose and resolve issues across:
- Windows desktops and servers.
- Active Directory and Entra ID.
- Hardware and peripherals.
- Develop and maintain automation solutions to improve efficiency and scalability, including:
- Automated builds and provisioning.
- Configuration management.
- Patch management and application deployment.
- Monitoring, observability, and performance tooling.
Once fully integrated into the business, there is an on-call rota to provide IT coverage, this includes occasional weekend support/maintenance tasks. Approximately once every 6 weeks with time off in lieu the following week.
Essential Attributes
We estimate that you will have at least 5 years’ experience in a relevant technical role and you will have many of the following technical skills:
- Relevant experience administering Windows environments, including:
- Active Directory.
- Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Identity, Intune, Purview, Exchange, Teams, …).
- Windows 11, Windows Server (2019 / 2022 / 2025).
- Solid PowerShell scripting skills for automation.
- Experience with endpoint management tools:
- SCCM.
- Microsoft Intune (OS and application deployment/management).
- Familiarity with Linux command line environments.
- Working knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and Cisco CLI commands.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Due to the nature of the role, you will be occasionally required to move, lift, rack and install equipment (pc’s, switches, servers).

Onboarding Note
To set our new hire up for success, we envisage that you would need to spend significant chunks of time at our London HQ to onboard with our existing team and learn how we approach end user computing. This could be a few months at the beginning, reducing thereafter to less regular trips. Alternatively, this could be a few weeks at the start and regular periods (2 weeks in every 4) thereafter. XTX would cover all associated costs.
