The Opportunity:  

Based in our Bangkok office, this accounting role will work across Agoda’s core operational entities, which mainly focus on accommodation and flight reservations. This role offers the opportunity to explore the accounting and finance of an online travel agency (OTA) with all the functions that drive OTA products. You will also have the chance to coordinate with other brands within Booking Holdings and gain exposure to international accounting and finance. 

In this Role, you’ll get to:  

Financial Accounts  

• Maintain accounting records including journal entries  

• Maintain and control over fixed assets register  

• Issue and control over invoices, tax invoices, receipts  

• Coordinate with intercompany related to month-end closing and confirmation  

• Correspond with external auditors for statutory financial report  

• Identifying and communicating issues to the Manager  

• Assist accounting manager on ad-hoc assignment  

Reporting  

• Prepare financial closing, reporting packages, accounts reconciliation and analysis on the responsible areas 

• Prepare detail reports to support manager on the Quarterly Balance Sheet review with CFO  

What you’ll Need to Succeed:  

• 3-5 years’ experience in accounting field  

• Graduated Bachelor in Accountancy  

• Accounting standard knowledge (e.g. IFRS, US GAAP, and Local Accounting Standard)  

• Preparation of Statutory reports  

• Proficient ERP Software (Oracle is preferable)  

• Strong communication and coordination skills  

• Microsoft office packages (mainly Excel and PowerPoint) 

• Excellent analytical/numerical skills – including strong attention to detail 

It’s Great if you Have:  

• Experience in preparing financial statements under US GAAP 

• Proficient ERP Software (Oracle is preferable)  

• Accounting experience in online travel agency business

What You'll Own

🌏 International Financial Reporting

• Lead financial reporting across multiple jurisdictions — owning the numbers, the narrative, and the decisions that follow.
• Be the go-to voice for financial performance analysis that shapes how Agoda's leadership thinks about the business.
• Partner directly with Booking Holdings and affiliated global brands on cross-entity financial matters.

🏗️ Build What Doesn't Exist Yet

• Take the lead on high-impact finance projects — new payment methods, new product launches, new market entries.
• Design the data flows, workflows, and control frameworks that will underpin Agoda's next chapter.
• Drive UAT, post-go-live monitoring, and continuous improvement — from concept to execution.

🔒 Controls & Compliance That Actually Work

• Own the internal control environment across jurisdictions — SOX, Anti-Corruption, Corporate Policy — not as a checkbox exercise, but as a genuine competitive advantage.
• Oversee reconciliations across all significant balance sheet accounts and ensure exceptions are surfaced, understood, and resolved.
• Translate accounting policy into practical, operational guidance that teams can actually use.

• Navigate corporate income tax, withholding tax, and indirect tax obligations across the countries where Agoda operates.
• Equip the Tax team with the precise, timely information they need to stay compliant and ahead of risk.

Who You Are

You're not looking for a quiet corner of the finance world. You're looking for leverage — a place where your intelligence, your judgment, and your drive to improve things actually moves the needle.

You bring:

• 15+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including meaningful time at management level.
• A track record of owning financial reporting end-to-end — not just producing it, but improving it.
• Deep fluency in local GAAP and/or US GAAP, internal controls, and multi-jurisdictional compliance.
• The ability to lead through complexity — across teams, time zones, and competing priorities.
• Exceptional communication skills — you can present to a CFO and coach a junior analyst in the same afternoon.
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort working in a data-rich environment.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance.

You'll Stand Out If You Have

Job purpose

Corporate Finance & Investor Relations role in aCommerce is a combination of managing the company's funding and relationship with banks, regulators and investors, plus managing the M&A strategy going forward.

This role will assist in driving the strategy, communication and interaction between aCommerce Public Company and our respective Investors, regulators and Stakeholders. The role will report to our Head of Corporate Finance and partner with our finance & FP&A team regionally and related department in crafting an IR strategy that builds long-term relationships with both the buy-side and sell-side community, while building a proactive strategy to grow and strengthen our investor base over time.

 Duties and responsibilities

• Manage the investor relations function and be the contact point for Company’s stakeholders
• Assist in Company’s fund raising activities and liaise with financial advisors, regulators and investors
• Organize and conduct meetings with investors (conferences, roadshows, capital market days)
• Prepare monthly and quarterly shareholders update and ad-hoc analysis upon request
• Respond to investor queries and ensuring that all investor queries are dealt with in a timely manner
• Prepare, in collaboration with the team, management talking points, presentations, press release, annual report, quarterly earnings, website and other relevant communication materials for investment
• Prepare financial models and relevant financial analyses for Company’s long term strategic planning
• Play the key role in potential capital market transaction and M&A deals
• Other ad-hoc project assigned by Group CFO & Head of Corporate Finance

Capabilities

• 3+ years of experience in corporate finance or related advisory roles
• Banking experience is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, or related field
• Knowledgeable in mergers and acquisitions, IPO, investor relations; including common valuation methodologies, financial modelling, etc.
• Excellent written communication and presentation skills are essential
• Able to explain complex topics in a clear, simple, and concise manner.
• Exceptional attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and strong follow up skills
