The Role

Your Role

About You
4+ years of experience in a high-impact, customer-facing technical role such as Forward Deployed Engineering, Technical Consulting, high touch Sales Engineering or Solutions Architecture, or technical consulting for SaaS/AI products.
Deep, demonstrable expertise in the modern AI/ML stack: LLMs, Generative AI concepts, vector databases, and agent orchestration frameworks. Proficiency in Python, Go, JS/TS plus hands‑on experience with LLM frameworks.

As a vital member of our Product & Tech Team, you will utilise your expertise to work within our ecosystem of applications, services and infrastructure using a combination of C#, Angular, Typescript, T-SQL and harness the multitude of services offered by AWS including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, SES and SQS.
You’ll work with an AI-augmented engineering environment, leveraging agentic workflows, LLM-powered tools, and automation to accelerate development and expand product capabilities. We place a strong emphasis on deep technical understanding and ownership. You’re expected to understand, validate and take responsibility for what AI produces. In this role, you’ll also design and build AI-powered features and systems that deliver smarter, more adaptive user experiences.
Like all Engineering roles at ROLLER, this position follows a hybrid work model - 3 days per week in our office located in the Sydney CBD, with flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the week. Many of our Engineers also choose to spend additional time in the office to collaborate and connect with the team in person.
