What you’ll be doing

As a Senior Sales Manager in the Ads & Promo team, you’ll play a key role in planning, monitoring, and optimising advertising and promotion campaigns for our partners. You’ll collaborate closely with the Global Ads and Account Management team to ensure campaigns are aligned with client goals and deliver strong results. This is a great opportunity for someone with a data-driven mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for digital advertising. You may also come from a background in digital marketing or paid media, such as an Account Manager, Digital Marketing Specialist or Paid Media Specialist, as these skills transfer exceptionally well into the role.

Day-to-day in this role: 

• Own enterprise partnership growth: Develop and execute a strategic growth plan for each enterprise partner, identifying expansion opportunities within existing accounts (upsells, cross-sells, new verticals).
• Build deep strategic relationships: Work with C-level stakeholders and decision-makers at enterprise partners to understand their business objectives, competitive challenges, and how Wolt Ads can solve for them.
• Launch & optimize new ad and promotion products: Introduce new advertising and promotion solutions and product features to enterprise partners, ensuring smooth implementation and quick time-to-value that drives adoption and revenue.
• Full-Scale Retail Dominance: Accelerate Wolt Ads to the next level by capturing the entire Retail vertical - from global enterprise chains to local merchants - establishing the platform as the universal engine for retail growth. 
• Drive revenue growth through partnerships: Negotiate and close high-value advertising and promotion investment deals with a strategic focus on long-term partnership value, product adoption, and measurable business impact.
• Monitor and optimize campaign performance: Work with partners and internal teams to analyze campaign data, identify optimization opportunities, and ensure partners are achieving their KPIs and ROAS targets.
• Collaborate across teams: Global Ads and Promotion, Partner with Account Management, Product, and Marketing teams to ensure campaigns are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with partner goals.
• Develop operational excellence: Identify ways to streamline ad operations, improve campaign setup and launch processes, and increase team efficiency without sacrificing quality.
• Drive reporting & insights: Work with the analytics team to develop custom reporting that tells a compelling story about partner performance, helping us demonstrate clear ROI and justify continued investment.
• Stay ahead of market trends: Continuously monitor the competitive landscape, emerging advertising trends, and partner needs to position Wolt Ads as the category leader.

Our humble expectations

• +5 years of proven experience in advertising sales, media sales, or ad platform management with a track record of closing and managing enterprise-level deals.
• Deep advertising platform expertise: You understand ad metrics, campaign optimization, media buying fundamentals, and how to position premium advertising solutions to sophisticated clients. Experience with platforms like Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, or similar ad platforms is a strong plus.
• Enterprise sales acumen: Proven ability to navigate complex negotiations, identify expansion opportunities within accounts, and close high-value deals with C-level stakeholders.
• Strategic relationship builder: You excel at understanding client business goals and translating them into advertising strategies that deliver measurable ROI - you're not transactional, you're strategic.
• Data-driven mindset: Strong analytical skills with the ability to use performance data (CTR, CPC, ROAS, conversion metrics) to inform decisions and drive optimization.
• Excellent communication skills: You can present complex advertising concepts clearly to executive audiences and simplify technical details for non-technical stakeholders.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with product, marketing, operations, and technical teams to drive partnerships forward.
• Ownership mentality: You take full responsibility for partnership health and revenue growth - no excuses, just results.
• Growth mindset: You're energized by the challenge of expanding partnerships, launching new products, and opening new verticals. You constantly ask, "What's next?"Fluency in Kazakh, Russian, and English: Strong language skills are essential for managing enterprise relationships across the region.

• Own and grow your retail portfolio: Strategically manage a diverse set of retail partners, identifying growth opportunities and driving Gross Order Value (GOV) expansion through targeted upselling initiatives.
• Be the growth catalyst: Partner closely with retail owners and store managers to understand their business needs, analyze their performance data, and co-create strategies that boost their success.
• Master the data: Leverage analytical dashboards (Looker, Power BI) to uncover performance insights, identify trends, and present compelling reports that drive decision-making.
• Collaborate across teams: Work hand-in-hand with Marketing, Operations, and other departments to execute campaigns and operational improvements that directly impact your accounts' bottom line.
• Navigate the local market: Stay ahead of market trends, competitive dynamics, and partnership opportunities in the retail sector across your region.
• Nurture relationships that matter: Conduct regular partner meetings, provide exceptional service, and adapt your approach to suit each partner's unique personality and business model.

Our humble expectations:

• Solid track record: 1-3 years of proven account management experience, ideally with retail, FMCG, or SMB partners. We're looking for someone with commercial account management experience (revenue-focused, upselling, partnership growth)—not purely operational or customer support roles. A mix of commercial strategy and operational understanding is ideal.
• Commercial acumen: You understand (or are eager to master) P&Ls, revenue drivers, and how to translate data into actionable growth strategies. Even if you're still building this skillset, your analytical mindset and hunger to learn make you a strong fit.
• Upselling mindset: A natural ability to identify expansion opportunities and effectively communicate value propositions that excite your partners.
• Negotiation skills: You're comfortable diving into commercial discussions with store owners, confidently discussing terms, and finding win-win solutions. You're not afraid to have tough conversations when needed.
• Data-savvy: Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience using business intelligence tools (Looker, Power BI, or similar). You speak the language of dashboards and KPIs.
• Relationship wizard: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt your communication style—equally comfortable discussing operations with a store manager or business strategy with an owner.
• True service first: Structured, detail-oriented, and genuinely committed to your partners' success. You're the person they want on their team.
• Communication excellence: You know how to convey complex ideas clearly, both in writing and face-to-face, with stakeholders at all levels.
• Marketing mindset: You have a solid understanding of how marketing works and thrive collaborating on campaigns with creative teams. Experience in trade marketing (especially in FMCG or retail) is a big plus—if not, your account management background combined with genuine curiosity about marketing strategy will set you apart.
• Passion for retail & SMB growth: A genuine love for supporting local retail businesses and the ambition to help the best stores in your region reach their full potential.
• CRM experience: Familiarity with CRM systems is a plus—you're organized and data-driven by nature.
• Sales DNA: A demonstrated track record in sales or business development is a strong plus.
• Language skills: Fluent in Russian and Kazakh; ability to work in English
