We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Software Supply Chain to modernize and secure the technical foundation upon which all Webflow engineers build. In this role, you’ll lead the execution of critical platform migrations and shape the automated systems that keep our core dependencies up to date such as Node.js, React and much more. • Optimize build performance by partnering with teams to modernize our toolchain (e.g., Nx, Rspack, SWC) to drastically reduce CI wait times and the memory footprint of our applications.
• Eliminate technical debt by systematically identifying and remediate package vulnerabilities and version drift, moving Webflow to a proactive, "secure-by-default" posture.
• Champion developer velocity by acting as a champion, helping product teams navigate complex breaking changes in core libraries while maintaining a high bar for code quality and craft.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer who can take ownership of the codebase and infrastructure. This isn’t just a “build what you’re told” role—you’ll be the primary technical driver of the platform, making architecture decisions, shipping features end-to-end, and ensuring our systems run reliably in production. You’ll work directly with the founder and have real autonomy to shape the product’s technical direction.

• Own the full application lifecycle—backend APIs, frontend UI, database schema, CI/CD pipelines, and production infrastructure on AWS
• Design, develop, and ship new features across the Java/Spring Boot backend and Angular frontend
• Manage and optimize our PostgreSQL database, including schema migrations (Liquibase), query performance tuning, and data integrity

Required

• 5–8+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong proficiency in Java and the Spring Boot ecosystem (Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security)
• Solid front-end skills with Angular (TypeScript, RxJS, component architecture)
• Deep experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases—schema design, migrations, query optimization
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFront, IAM) or comparable cloud platforms
• Comfortable working across the entire stack and owning infrastructure alongside application code
