The Core Services Site Reliability Engineering (Core Services SRE) team sets the foundations and maintains the principles of reliable engineering across StackAdapt's core service teams.
Core service teams power StackAdapt's software backend, where all data processing occurs. The Core Services SRE team ensures robust and reliable software by building and operating self-healing systems that automatically deploy and manage the scaling of core services software, while championing and evangelizing the principles of reliable software and Site Reliability Engineering across the organization.
StackAdapt is a Remote First company, we are open to candidates located anywhere in the United States or Canada for this position.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Maintain tooling, libraries, and infrastructure leveraged by all core service teams
- Develop and maintain infrastructure services that enable engineers to manage, deploy, and scale systems
- Act as a technical leader, guiding core service teams to design robust and reliable software
- Propose, design, coordinate, and implement cross-cutting initiatives impacting all of core services, both as an individual contributor and as a technical leader
- Propose, design, document, and communicate evolving SRE best practices to keep StackAdapt's core service backend maintainable
- Conduct security reviews for new projects, technologies, and services
What You'll Bring to the Table:
- At least 5 years experience in Infrastructure, Cloud, or Backend engineering
- At least 5 years experience with AWS, or other Cloud provider
- Strong programming, system design, and scripting skills
- Deep understanding of infrastructure as a code and application/network security
- Experience setting up complex AWS environments with Terraform
- Database management experience is a plus
- Experience with our existing technologies is a strong plus: Terraform, Vault, Nomad, Packer, Vagrant, Boundary, Consul, Waypoint, Redis, Aerospike, Go, ScyllaDB, Elasticsearch, RDS, Grafana, Prometheus, Kafka, Envoy, Nginx

Full Stack Engineer – Defense Sustainment
Location: Northern Virginia or Huntsville, AL
Work Environment: Hybrid
Role Summary:
Exiger is seeking a Full Stack Engineer (Cleared) to build and scale a highly strategic, federally aligned supply chain resilience initiative. This individual will operate across both front-end and back-end systems, delivering end-to-end functionality within a live control-tower environment. You will be responsible for connecting data pipelines, APIs, and user interfaces into a cohesive platform that enables real-time decision-making for operators, analysts, and senior stakeholders. This is a mission-critical role requiring strong engineering fundamentals, adaptability, and the ability to deliver measurable outcomes under compressed timelines.
What You’ll Do:
- Design, build, and maintain full stack applications that power the control-tower environment
- Develop and integrate APIs, backend services, and front-end components into unified workflows
- Build data-driven interfaces and dashboards that support real-time operational decision-making
- Partner with Platform Engineers, Solution Architects, and Forward Deployed Engineers to translate mission requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Contribute to data ingestion and pipeline workflows to ensure seamless flow of information across the platform
- Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability across both front-end and back-end systems
- Establish and maintain engineering standards across the stack, including code quality, testing, and deployment practices
- Support rapid iteration cycles to evolve product capabilities in alignment with operational needs
What You Need:
- Strong experience building full stack applications in modern environments
- Strong experience designing and managing SQL databases
- Proficiency in front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue) and back-end languages (e.g., C++, Java, or Go)
- Experience developing and consuming RESTful , RPC and/or GQL APIs and working with distributed systems
- Familiarity with data pipelines, ETLs, and data-intensive applications
- Familiarity with designing and building secure applications in cloud environments
- Experience working in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Strong understanding of system design, performance optimization, and scalability
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, mission-critical environments
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Top Secret security clearance and eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
Professional Experience Required:
- 4–10 years of experience in software engineering or full stack development
- Experience supporting federal, defense, or highly regulated environments is strongly preferred
- Background in data platforms, analytics systems, or AI-enabled applications is a plus
- Experience working in high-growth or mission-driven organizations

- Develop data visualizations that translate complex supply chain and risk data into actionable insights
- Partner with backend and platform engineers to integrate APIs and data services into front-end applications
- Collaborate with Forward Deployed Engineers and stakeholders to rapidly iterate on user-facing features
- Ensure responsiveness, performance, and reliability across all front-end components
- Establish front-end standards and best practices for UI/UX, component design, and visualization frameworks
- Support the evolution of executive, analyst, and operator views within the platform
What You Need:
- Strong experience building modern front-end applications using frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue
- Experience developing data-rich dashboards and visualization tools
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience working with APIs and integrating front-end systems with backend services
- Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and ability to translate complex data into intuitive interfaces
- Experience working in fast-paced, product-driven or mission-critical environments
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Top Secret security clearance and eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
