We are seeking an experienced SoC Verification Lead to drive the verification strategy, architecture, and execution for complex System-on-Chip (SoC) designs. This role is ideal for professionals with deep expertise in SystemVerilog, UVM, coverage-driven verification, and large-scale SoC verification who are passionate about delivering high-quality silicon for advanced computing and embedded systems.
As a SoC Verification Lead, you will be responsible for defining end-to-end verification methodologies, building scalable verification environments, and leading verification activities from planning through tape-out. Working closely with Architecture, Design, Firmware, Physical Design, and cross-functional engineering teams, you will ensure comprehensive functional verification, coverage closure, and verification signoff while mentoring engineers and driving engineering excellence across projects.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the overall SoC verification strategy for complex digital designs and integrated subsystems.
- Architect reusable, scalable, and high-performance SystemVerilog/UVM verification environments, verification IP (VIP), scoreboards, coverage models, and checkers.
- Develop comprehensive block-level, subsystem-level, and SoC-level verification plans aligned with architecture and functional specifications.
- Establish verification methodologies, coding standards, review processes, and best practices across engineering teams.
- Drive verification execution, regression planning, functional coverage, assertion coverage, code coverage, and scenario-based verification to achieve tape-out readiness.
- Lead verification of advanced compute subsystems including GPU, DSP, multimedia, image processing, video processing, AI accelerators, memory subsystems, and interconnect fabrics.
- Validate system functionality, coherency, performance, data integrity, Quality of Service (QoS), power management, and protocol compliance.
- Debug complex functional issues, perform root-cause analysis, manage bug triage, and drive verification closure.
- Collaborate with architecture, RTL, firmware, and validation teams to resolve design and verification challenges throughout the development lifecycle.
- Drive verification automation, regression infrastructure, coverage tracking, reporting, and continuous methodology improvements.
- Mentor verification engineers, conduct technical reviews, allocate responsibilities, and lead high-performing verification teams across multiple projects.
- Coordinate cross-functional and global engineering activities to ensure timely project execution and successful silicon delivery.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- 8+ years of experience in ASIC/SoC Verification with proven leadership in complex verification programs from planning through tape-out.
- Strong expertise in SystemVerilog, UVM, SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA), constrained random verification, functional coverage, and coverage-driven verification methodologies.
- Deep understanding of SoC architecture, subsystem integration, and scalable verification environment development.
- Experience verifying GPU, DSP, multimedia, image processing, video processing, AI accelerator, or other high-performance compute architectures.
- Strong knowledge of industry-standard protocols including AMBA (AXI, AHB, APB, CHI), cache coherency, memory hierarchy, NoC, DDR, PCIe, USB, Ethernet, or similar interfaces.
- Proven experience developing reusable verification frameworks, regression infrastructure, automation, and verification productivity tools.
- Excellent debugging, analytical, and root-cause analysis skills for resolving complex verification issues.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, communication, and stakeholder management abilities with experience leading distributed engineering teams.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Passion for delivering robust, scalable, and high-quality silicon through advanced verification methodologies and engineering excellence.
