About the role:

As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will serve as the ultimate trusted advisor for Tempo’s Strategic Portfolio Management and enterprise agility solutions. Reporting to the Solutions Engineering leadership and based in Sydney, you will champion our SPM vision to mid-market and enterprise accounts across the APAC region.

This role requires a blend of deep technical mastery, business acumen, and a passion for value-based enterprise sales. You will translate complex organizational challenges into elegant SPM frameworks, demonstrating how Tempo’s platform and AI-driven capabilities unlock predictive forecasting, optimize resource allocation, and drive measurable business outcomes from C-suite strategy down to execution teams.

What you’ll do:

• Strategic Value Selling: Deliver compelling architectural presentations, product demonstrations, and business value assessments to enterprise stakeholders, PMO directors, and C-level executives.

• AI & SPM Advocacy: Articulate Tempo’s vision for intelligent, data-driven portfolio management, demonstrating how advanced AI capabilities optimize strategic workflows, macro-level capacity planning, and portfolio decision-making.

• Partner & Ecosystem Enablement: Design and deliver technical enablement programs for our global solutions partners, ensuring they can successfully position, architect, and implement Tempo’s enterprise SPM frameworks.

• Deal Strategy & Execution: Provide technical pre-sales leadership for high-value strategic opportunities. Own the technical discovery process, enterprise architecture reviews, and technical validation phases (RFPs, Security Reviews, and POCs).

• Enterprise Feedback Loop: Act as a critical link between the field and product engineering, translating complex customer portfolio strategies and AI feature requests into actionable insights for our product management roadmap.

• Community & Travel: Co-host technical workshops and industry events with partners and clients, with occasional travel for priority conferences and internal collaboration.

Who you are:

• Experience: 5+ years of Solutions Engineering (Pre-Sales) or enterprise consulting experience within enterprise B2B environments, specifically dealing with large-scale corporate structures.

• Domain Expertise: Deep domain knowledge in Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), Project Portfolio Management (PPM), Financial Planning, Resource Capacity Management, or Enterprise Agility frameworks (e.g., SAFe).

• AI & Data Literacy: Strong understanding of how AI, machine learning models, or predictive analytics leverage enterprise data to drive forecasting, risk mitigation, and automated insights.

• Ecosystem & Integration Savvy: Familiarity with modern enterprise work management tools. Experience with the Atlassian Cloud ecosystem (Jira Software, Jira Service Management, JPD) is a strong plus, particularly regarding how team-level execution tools integrate into a broader SPM framework.

• Consultative Mindset: Exceptional ability to map complex, disconnected business processes and siloed data across an organization into a unified, automated, and strategic software solution.
