The Aerospace and defense (A&D) vertical represents one of Xometry’s most strategic growth priorities. The Senior Manager, Strategic Deals will play a critical role in expanding our footprint within this sector by developing, structuring, and executing high-impact opportunities with leading customers.

This role is focused on driving revenue growth within A&D accounts, increasing share across programs, and strengthening the manufacturing and supply capabilities required to meet stringent quality, certification, and compliance standards.

What You’ll Do

Drive Vertical Growth

  • Lead complex pursuits within priority A&D accounts to expand revenue and program share
  • Develop deal strategies aligned to aerospace procurement cycles, supplier qualification processes, and long-term supply agreements
  • Partner closely with Sales and account teams to shape competitive proposals and program-based engagements
  • Analyze pipeline, program economics, and margin performance to drive disciplined growth

Structure and Execute A&D Programs

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver technically complex, compliance-driven opportunities
  • Define pricing, quoting, and supply strategies tailored to regulated, precision manufacturing environments
  • Align stakeholders around certification requirements, lead times, risk mitigation, and cost targets
  • Ensure strong execution from sourcing through delivery, with a focus on repeatable program success

Strengthen the A&D Supply Base

  • Identify and develop manufacturing suppliers with relevant certifications (e.g., AS9100, ITAR)
  • Partner with Supply and Quality teams to ensure supplier qualification, performance, and compliance standards are met
  • Support development of scalable sourcing strategies aligned to customer program requirements

What You’ll Need

Core Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of progressive experience within A&D manufacturing environments, including production, supply chain, procurement, program management, or commercial leadership roles
  • Proven track record operating within aerospace OEMs, defense primes, or Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers
  • Demonstrated experience driving revenue growth, securing program awards, negotiating supply agreements, or managing strategic procurement relationships within A&D
  • Deep familiarity with the operating models, technical standards, procurement culture, and product environments of leading organizations such as Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Blue Origin, Boeing, and similar institutions
  • Strong understanding of advanced manufacturing principles, including the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Significant hands-on experience in CNC machining environments; exposure to composites, plastics, harnesses, and sheet metal fabrication strongly preferred
  • Experience managing complex RFQs, cost modeling, program-based pricing, and multi-year production agreements
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100D, ITAR, NIST, and other critical compliance and certification frameworks required in A&D manufacturing
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives across engineering, quality, operations, and commercial teams
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • Willingness to travel 20–50% to support customer, supplier, and program engagements
