Position

Smappee is looking for a results-driven Project Director to lead our Project Management Office and enterprise project portfolio. Combining strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, you will ensure the right projects are delivered in the right way, while continuously improving execution, governance and organizational effectiveness.

Responsibilities 

• Own and continuously optimize Smappee's project portfolio, ensuring strategic alignment with business priorities, execution capacity and organizational objectives.
• Partner with senior leadership to evaluate, prioritize and govern strategic initiatives based on business value, risks, dependencies and available resources.
• Lead the company's most business-critical, cross-functional projects and ensure successful delivery in terms of scope, timing, budget and quality.
• Drive alignment and collaboration across R&D, Product Management, Operations, Sales, Marketing and other business functions to achieve project success.
• Develop and continuously improve project management methodologies, governance, reporting standards and portfolio KPIs to increase organizational effectiveness.
• Challenge existing ways of working and lead initiatives that improve execution speed, scalability and project delivery across the organization.
• Lead, coach and develop the Project Management team, providing direction, mentoring and support while fostering a culture of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science or a related field.

• Extensive experience leading complex, cross-functional programs and project portfolios within a technology, hardware or software environment.
• Proven success in establishing or leading a PMO or portfolio management function.
• Strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate business strategy into executable project roadmaps.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and challenge senior leadership while building strong partnerships across the organization.
• Excellent financial and business acumen, with experience balancing budgets, resources, capacity and execution priorities.
• Proven experience driving organizational change, process optimization and operational excellence.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-growing, continuously evolving scale-up environment.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• PMP, PgMP, PMI Portfolio Management (PfMP), PRINCE2 or equivalent certification is considered an asset.
