The Test Cloud suite offers broad and deep coverage across multiple testing domains, including functional, performance, and mobile testing, helping enterprises deliver high-quality software at scale.
As part of the Test Cloud engineering team, you will work with a diverse and modern technology stack, including .NET Core, C#, Kubernetes, Docker, Azure, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Angular. The team collaborates closely with product management to ideate, design, and deliver features end- to-end—owning everything from architecture and implementation to automated testing, product quality, and both cloud and on-premises
deployment solutions.
As a cloud-first offering, the team continuously monitors, scales, and optimizes highly available cloud services. In addition, the team builds and maintains integrations, extensions, and plugins for ALM and CI/CD ecosystems, while continuously innovating to advance AI-driven, autonomous testing capabilities across the entire Test Cloud portfolio.
Who you are — Builder’s mindset, product sense, and technical depth
You are a builder at heart. You take ideas from whiteboard to production and feel ownership for what ships, not just what you architect. You move with urgency, ship pragmatically, and bias toward working software over perfect designs—while still holding a high bar for quality, scalability, and craft. You think in systems, but you also have strong product sense: you understand who the customer is, why they care, and what makes a feature actually useful in their workflow. You partner naturally with product and design, push back when scope or direction is off, and propose technical ideas that unlock new product value. You see engineering excellence and product excellence as the same problem viewed from two sides.
What you'll do at UiPath
Architect & Lead Platform Systems: Own the technical vision, architecture, and implementation of large-scale distributed systems that power the Test Cloud platform—including test orchestration, execution engines, results and reporting pipelines, ALM/CI integrations, AI/agentic services, and the data and service layers that underpin agentic testing at enterprise scale. Ensure scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability are built in from the ground up.
• Strategic Technical Vision & Cross-Product Influence: Set the multi-quarter technical direction for Test Cloud and drive alignment with adjacent UiPath platform teams (Studio, Orchestrator, Automation Cloud, AI platform). Represent Test Cloud engineering in customer architecture reviews, analyst engagements, and external technical forums where appropriate.
• End-to-End Architectural Ownership: Make architectural calls that span the full stack—API contracts, data flow, state management, real- time/streaming behavior for test execution, performance budgets on both client and server. Ensure seamless end-to-end delivery without hard handoffs or gaps between layers.
• Product Partnership & Customer Impact: Partner deeply with product management and design to shape what we build, not just how. Bring technical ideas that unlock new product value, challenge assumptions about scope and feasibility, and keep customer outcomes at the center of architectural decisions.
• Innovate at the Intersection of AI + Testing: Own the technical vision for embedding agentic intelligence into test creation, execution, and analysis—enabling smarter test generation, self-healing automation, and autonomous quality workflows. Define how Test Cloud evolves in an AI-native world and partner with AI platform teams to bring that vision to production.
• AI-Powered Engineering: Champion the use of coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) and AI-assisted workflows to measurably improve team velocity and code quality. Define team norms for responsible and effective AI tool usage. Prototype and evaluate emerging AI developer tooling and advocate for adoption where it delivers real leverage.
• Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Set the engineering bar for the team. Mentor senior and mid-level engineers, conduct high-quality design and code reviews, and drive adoption of best practices in architecture, testing, and CI/CD across the full stack.
• Performance & Reliability: Identify and resolve system bottlenecks, define SLOs, and build for high availability. Own reliability for mission-critical testing workloads, including large-scale test execution and high-throughput results processing. Establish observability standards using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and distributed tracing.
• Platform Modernization: Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies (serverless platforms, Apache Kafka, Spark, Flink, Kubernetes, etc.) to continuously evolve the platform. Drive adoption of modern engineering practices including agile development, infrastructure as code, and automated testing.
• Ownership & Accountability: Own software deliverables end-to-end—quality, security, scalability, modifiability, extensibility, and testability. Proactively manage timelines and dependencies across distributed teams.
