The opportunity

We're looking for an Operations Governance Analyst to join the team and play an important role in helping protect our clients, our business and the integrity of the financial system.

This role focuses on transaction monitoring, financial crime prevention, compliance and operational governance across a range of key business activities, including AML/CTF, KYC, fraud, privacy and incident management.

This is the kind of role where curiosity matters. You'll investigate unusual activity, connect dots across complex information, challenge assumptions and help identify risks before they become problems. Just as importantly, you'll partner with teams across the business to improve processes, strengthen controls and contribute to meaningful projects that support Netwealth's ongoing growth and success.

What you'll be doing

No two days are quite the same, but you can expect to:

• Review and investigate transaction monitoring alerts to identify potential suspicious activity and financial crime risks.

• Analyse customer information, transaction histories and other data sources to support detailed investigations.

• Help strengthen our AML/CTF program through ongoing monitoring, due diligence and reporting activities.

• Support fraud, privacy, incident management and remediation processes, ensuring issues are logged and managed appropriately.

• Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency and enhance operational controls.

• Contribute to projects relating to regulatory change, compliance initiatives and strategic business priorities.

• Build strong relationships with teams across Sales, Product, Technology, Investment Operations, Risk & Compliance and other areas of the business.

About you

You might come from a risk, compliance, financial crime, investigations, governance or operational background. What matters most is your ability to think critically, ask the right questions and confidently work through complex information.

We're keen to hear from people who have:

• Experience in risk, compliance, governance, investigations, project implementation or a related field within financial services.

• Exposure to financial crime, AML/CTF, transaction monitoring or regulatory compliance activities.

• Strong analytical capability and an ability to identify patterns within large or complex datasets.

• Excellent investigation, communication and documentation skills.

• A collaborative approach and the confidence to work with stakeholders across different parts of the business.
