We are seeking a Material Handler to work with our Manufacturing team at Carbon.  You'll perform a number of different tasks all centered on shipping, receiving, and warehousing.

This role requires being onsite Monday through Friday with some driving between Santa Clara and Borregas. 

This role is not eligible for current Visa sponsorship. This role does not provide relocation assistance. 

Warehouse:

• Organize materials in inventory and maintain accurate data for quantities on hand.  Distribution of parts into and out of inventory, to and from shipping/receiving and/or the manufacturing line. Prepare kits for assembly or shipment.
• Perform system transactions to reflect each movement of inventory quickly and accurately. Maintains inventory records by adding or deleting supplies as they are shipped or received
• Participate in physical inventories of warehouse
• Keep the warehouse/shipping/receiving area clean and organized to maintain a safe and efficient working environment; may secure the warehouse and set alarms

Receiving:

• Working with other team members, may assist in receiving and unloading incoming shipments.  Verify contents against information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment. Process return shipments from customers and ensure incoming materials are properly routed
• Inspect incoming shipments for damages or defects; record discrepancies or damages, notify supervisor and/or purchasing personnel and reject unsatisfactory items.

Hazardous Waste: 

• Bulk hazardous waste (consolidation). All waste from satellite locations needs to be bulked into our 90-day zone and compacted to save on space and costs.
• Ensure all wastes are properly labeled with waste type, Date of accumulation and any mandatory hazardous signals.
• Maintain the hazardous waste room “90 day location” - daily inspections, clean-ups
• Run and maintain onsite distillers serving the main lab (fill/drain) - IPA and Vertrel 

At Carbon, we look at the person holistically and carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation.  The pay range for this position is $23.82  - $30.99 USD per hour for the Bay Area of CA. In order to maintain equitable internal pay practices, we aim to hire new employees near the midpoint of $27.40 per hour, taking into account your experience, work location, certifications, and the unique skills you bring to the role.
