Live-In Caregiver – Basking Ridge, NJ

A family in Basking Ridge, NJ 07920 is seeking a compassionate, dependable live-in caregiver to support a 92-year-old woman who is looking forward to returning home from assisted living. She is mentally sharp, enjoys birds, puzzles, and gardening, and is seeking a caregiver who will help her remain as independent as possible while providing daily support.

Schedule:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Live-in, 7 days per week

Family Specifications:

• Smoke-free home
• No pets currently, though the caregiver should be comfortable around dogs, as family members visit with one regularly.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Medication reminders and pill management
• Prepare meals and assist with cooking
• Light housekeeping, laundry, and household organization
• Assist with transfers, mobility, and strength exercises
• Provide transportation to appointments, grocery shopping, and visits with family and friends
• Offer companionship while promoting safety, dignity, and independence

Requirements:

• Prior caregiving experience required
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Comfortable assisting with wheelchair transfers and mobility support
• Reliable, organized, and proactive
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred
• Home Health Aide (HHA) certification is a plus but not required

Compensation:

• $200–$300 per day, depending on experience
• Performance-based bonus opportunities available
• Private bedroom and standard household meals provided (caregiver is responsible for any personal or special dietary needs)
