We are seeking an experienced Lead SoC Architect to define the architecture, technical strategy, and system direction for next-generation semiconductor products. This role is ideal for professionals with deep expertise in SoC architecture, subsystem integration, performance modeling, and advanced semiconductor design methodologies.
As a Lead SoC Architect, you will drive the definition of complex SoC platforms by collaborating with hardware, software, firmware, verification, and system engineering teams. You will be responsible for making critical architectural decisions, evaluating performance and scalability trade-offs, and ensuring successful development of high-performance, power-efficient, and scalable semiconductor solutions.
This role offers the opportunity to work on advanced SoC designs involving CPU, GPU, AI accelerators, networking, memory subsystems, and high-speed interfaces while influencing architecture decisions from concept through silicon validation.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Define top-level SoC architecture, subsystem partitioning, and overall system design strategy.
- Drive architectural trade-off analysis across performance, power, area (PPA), bandwidth, latency, scalability, and system efficiency.
- Develop architecture specifications, interface definitions, and microarchitecture requirements for complex SoC platforms.
- Define memory hierarchy, cache architecture, coherency mechanisms, and NoC/interconnect strategies.
- Lead performance modeling, workload analysis, and architectural simulations using C/C++/SystemC.
- Evaluate and integrate third-party semiconductor IPs including CPU, GPU, NPU, PCIe, DDR/LPDDR, Ethernet, multimedia, and security IP blocks.
- Collaborate with RTL design, verification, firmware, software, and physical design teams throughout the SoC development lifecycle.
- Define architectural validation strategies and support silicon bring-up, debugging, and performance optimization activities.
- Analyze system bottlenecks and recommend architecture improvements to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Contribute to long-term SoC technology roadmaps, platform strategy, and architectural innovation initiatives.
- Mentor engineering teams and provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary development groups.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- 10+ years of experience in SoC architecture, ASIC development, semiconductor system design, or related fields.
- Strong expertise in defining complex SoC architectures and integrating multiple hardware subsystems.
- Hands-on experience with architecture modeling and performance analysis using C/C++/SystemC.
- Strong understanding of RTL design concepts, microarchitecture development, and digital design methodologies.
- Deep knowledge of memory hierarchy, cache coherency, NoC/interconnect architecture, and high-speed communication interfaces.
- Experience analyzing system performance and optimizing architecture for power, performance, and scalability.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor development lifecycle from architecture definition through silicon validation.
- Experience with AI accelerators, GPU architecture, networking SoCs, or RISC-V-based systems is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of advanced technologies including chiplets, multi-die architectures, PCIe, CXL, UCIe, DDR5, LPDDR5X, or HBM is an added advantage.
- Experience with FPGA prototyping, emulation, Linux driver architecture, or post-silicon optimization is preferred.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to drive complex technical initiatives.
