Key Responsibilities:

Consult with patients to understand their health concerns
Perform specialized tests to diagnose patients
Determine proper courses of treatment
Consult with a patient's primary doctor and other specialists
Perform endoscopic procedures to inspect internal organs
Analyze patient historical data
Perform X-Ray, MRI, and ultrasound scanning
Perform surgery in the digestive tract

Requirements

Qualifications:

Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
Licensure: Active NY State License
Experience: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology

Soft Skills: Strong communication, analytical, and patient assessment skills
