As a Director / Senior Director / Managing Director in our Infrastructure team, you will lead the sourcing, execution and management of infrastructure investment opportunities. You will be responsible for overseeing deal teams, leading due diligence processes, and owning senior relationships across investors, advisors and portfolio companies. This role requires significant experience in infrastructure investments, a strategic mindset, and a track record of carrying complex transactions from first look through to close.
You will also help shape the overall strategy and growth of the infrastructure team and develop its senior investment talent.
Key Responsibilities:
Investment Origination and Execution
- Set the team's origination agenda, defining sector themes and screening priorities across the infrastructure landscape
- Originate proprietary deal flow through an established network of senior industry relationships, advisors and intermediaries
- Lead and quality control all materials put to the Investment Committee, owning the final investment recommendation
- Oversee all aspects of deal execution, including financial modelling, valuation, due diligence, structuring and negotiation of terms
Due Diligence Leadership
- Direct diligence strategy and workstreams spanning financial, tax, technical, legal and commercial dimensions
- Appoint and steer external advisors, ensuring their output is rigorous and commercially focused
- Form house views on sector, regulatory and macroeconomic developments and translate them into investment theses
Portfolio Management and Value Creation
- Own portfolio asset performance, steering value creation plans and their delivery
- Partner with portfolio company boards and CEOs on strategy, operational priorities and growth initiatives, representing the firm in the boardroom
- Drive major asset decisions —recapitalisations, acquisitions, operational initiatives, divestments and exits — including their timing and structure
Team Leadership and Mentorship
- Coach and develop the team, shaping progression and building senior capability
- Set the tone for a collaborative, high-performing culture across the team
Investor Relations and Fundraising
- Advance the firm's fundraising agenda, shaping fund marketing narratives, deepening LP relationships and participating in meetings with prospective and existing LPs
- Act as an ambassador for the firm at conferences and investor forums, building its reputation and network
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
- Advanced degree (MBA, MSc) or relevant certifications (CFA, CAIA) are a plus
Experience:
- 12+ years of experience in infrastructure investments with a strong track record of originating, leading and closing infrastructure transactions
- Hands-on command of structuring, negotiation and transaction management across complex deals
- Established network of industry, advisor and investor relationships with a demonstrated ability to originate transactions
- Experience in fundraising and LP engagement is valued
- Recognised expertise across infrastructure sub-sectors, with strong command of the regulatory and macro forces that shape them
Skills:
- Sharp commercial judgement, with the ability to distil complex situations into clear, decisive investment recommendations
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and present to senior decision-makers
- Exceptional organisational and project management skills, with a proven ability to lead multiple complex projects simultaneously
