• Complex Information Translation: Deconstruct dense technical, scientific, or regulatory information into clear, concise, and actionable content for diverse audiences (e.g., policymakers, industry professionals, and the public).
• Documentation Architecture: Develop comprehensive technical assets, including white papers, system explainers, technical standard operating procedures (SOPs), API documentation, user manuals, and policy briefs.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation including white papers, technical reports, standard operating procedures (SOPs), user guides, policy briefs, process documentation, manuals, and explanatory notes.
• Organize technical content in a logical, structured, and consistent manner to improve readability, accessibility, and ease of reference.
• Maintain consistency in technical terminology, language, and writing style across all communication materials by developing and updating internal writing standards and glossaries.

2. Digital Data Literacy & Analytical Content Development

• Data-Driven Storytelling: Gather technical, operational, regulatory, and policy-related information from Pakistan Customs formations and subject matter experts to develop accurate and informative content. Interpret technical reports, enforcement data, trade statistics, research findings, and policy documents to prepare clear communication materials for different audiences.
• Data Visualization Support: Collaborate with graphic designers to develop process diagrams, flowcharts, infographics, and other visual content that simplifies complex technical information.
• Content Auditing & Gap Analysis: Use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, or heatmap software) to audit existing content, identify information gaps, and recommend updates based on user search behavior and engagement metrics.

3. Advanced Writing & Editorial Excellence

• Multi-Format Writing: Produce a wide range of technical content formats, including:
• Long-form: Research reports, technical case studies, and in-depth explainers.
• Short-form: Technical FAQs, knowledgebase articles, and platform-specific social media posts that distill complex topics for broader audiences.
• Scripting: Write short technical scripts for reels, videos, or webinars that maintain technical integrity while being engaged.
• Proofreading & Technical Editing: Perform rigorous copyediting and developmental editing to ensure clarity, logical flow, and grammatical precision. Verify technical citations, data points, and references against source documents.
• Tone Calibration: Adapt writing style to suit different platforms and audience personas—from highly formal regulatory submissions to accessible public awareness materials.

4. Digital Publishing & Knowledge Management

• Platform Management: Publish and maintain content within CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal), ensuring proper categorization, tagging, and formatting for optimal user experience.
• SEO for Technical Content: Apply advanced on-page SEO techniques—including keyword clustering, topic modeling, and internal linking strategies specifically tailored to improve visibility for niche technical queries.
• Content Refresh Cycles: Regularly update and repurpose legacy technical content to ensure relevance, accuracy, and alignment with current digital best practices.

5. Collaboration, Campaigns & Stakeholder Engagement

• SME Collaboration: Lead structured interviews and working sessions with technical teams (e.g., engineers, data scientists, legal advisors, and policy experts) to extract tacit knowledge and validate technical accuracy.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with graphic designers, videographers, and UI/UX teams to ensure visual elements complement and enhance written technical content.
• Campaign Ideation: Contribute to campaign planning by recommending technical content formats, messaging angles, and distribution strategies that resonate with specialized target audiences.
• Stakeholder Review Management: Manage complex review cycles involving multiple approvers (legal, compliance, technical leads), consolidating conflicting feedback while preserving content integrity.

6. Analytics & Continuous Improvement

• Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as engagement rates, dwell time, click-through rates, bounce rates, and search rankings for technical content.
• Trend Awareness: Stay updated on emerging digital media trends, platform algorithm changes, SEO evolutions, and shifts in audience content consumption behaviors to continuously refine content strategies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field from an HEC-recognized or international university.
• Master’s degree in relevant discipline (e.g., Data Analytics, Public Policy, Digital Media) will be considered an added advantage.
• 4–5 years of relevant experience in technical writing, technical content development, digital documentation, knowledge management, or information architecture.
• Proven Portfolio: Must provide a portfolio demonstrating the ability to document complex systems, processes, data reports, or regulatory frameworks.
• Domain Expertise: Experience in regulatory communication, public sector documentation, development sector reporting, trade, or policy-related content is a strong advantage.
