Responsibilities

• Monitor, optimize, and maintain the performance, availability, and security of enterprise database environments.
• Review T-SQL code before production deployments and identify performance or security improvement opportunities.
• Troubleshoot database-related issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with software development teams to improve database design, query performance, and overall application efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Database Administrator, SQL Server Database Engineer, or Database Performance Specialist
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2012 or later versions)
• Advanced knowledge of T-SQL development, query optimization, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and execution plan analysis
• Proven experience in database performance tuning, troubleshooting, indexing strategies, and performance optimization
• Strong understanding of database security, auditing, and best practices
• Experience reviewing database objects and SQL code before production deployments
• Experience identifying and resolving database performance bottlenecks and production issues
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
• Experience working closely with software development teams to improve database performance and application efficiency
• Strong analytical thinking and proactive problem-solving skills
• Ability to investigate root causes and recommend performance improvements
• Good English communication skills (reading technical documentation, participating in technical meetings, and delivering presentations when required)
