About The Role

Our German business in DACH is growing and so we are looking for a creator-first, Germany-based Creative Strategist who lives and breathes social platforms, creator culture, and online communities to inspire, plan, and execute visions for brands in the DACH region.

Reporting directly to the Creative Strategy Director DACH, you'll play a key creative and strategic role, consistently pushing creative boundaries and staying ahead in the continuously evolving landscape of social media, creative advertising, and effectiveness in the creator economy.

In addition to supporting strategy across key clients, new business pitches and shaping innovative campaigns, you'll also contribute to building processes internally and with our clients. This role is an opportunity to be part of the team shaping the future of creator-first creative strategy.

Here’s What You’ll Do Day-to-day: Creator Economy First

• Support unpacking client briefs, identifying the exact strategic outcome and what is required to achieve it
• Create together with the Creative Strategy Directors compelling, creator-led creative and social strategies rooted in actionable insights for key new business pitches
• Proactively generate original, insight-driven strategic ideas, challenging and inspiring creative thinking for Whalar clients 
• Identify and develop community and creator strategies for short-term and annual projects in close collaboration with the Creative Strategy Directors, Research & Insight, Client Services, Design and Community teams
• Build and shape creator briefings to ensure on-strategy creator co-creation
• Provide creative and strategic support to key accounts, collaborating with the Creative Strategy team and the regional team to identify strategy opportunities and enhance existing relationships
• Consult on paid media strategies and platform-specific rollout plans with partner media agencies to ensure the strategy is executed effectively
• Collaborate cross-functionally with teams like Paid Media, Measurement & Analytics, Creator Partnerships, and Client Services to develop comprehensive client solutions and ensure our creative strategic visions come to life throughout the execution process
• Use measured campaign outcomes to continually inform and refine future strategies and ideas
• Stay abreast of emerging social media trends, technologies, and platforms, integrating them strategically into projects and proactive thought leadership
  
  

Here’s What We’re Looking For: Creator-First Minds

• 2 - 6+ years of experience in creative, social media, and content strategy
• Fluency in social media platforms and their unique dynamics, including extensive knowledge of user behaviors, platform best practices, creator ecosystems, and emerging platform trends
• You are platform-native and deeply immersed in creator culture, with a strong understanding of trends, creators, and audience behaviours across TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram
• Strong analytical skills; comfortable transforming sets of data into actionable insights
• Meticulous, culturally rooted creative thinker and practitioner with a strong point of view on emerging trends, communities, and internet culture
• Passion and experience in the creator economy and ecosystem and its evolving landscape. Community is not just a word to you. You actively drive and foster collaboration, and this passion fuels your insights
• Clear and sharp communication is a top priority for you
• Comfortable pitching and confident when presenting to clients and team members
• You have outstanding interpersonal skills, a relentless work ethic, a spirit of collaboration, and a roll up your sleeves mentality with the flexibility to support any size project. You are solution-oriented and driven by positivity
• You thrive in an environment where collaboration, flexibility and scrappiness are valued
• Interest in video editing is a plus
• Must be a native German speaker and professionally fluent in English (speaking and writing capabilities)
