The Claims Administrator supports the company's workers' compensation, auto liability, general liability, and property claims programs through claim intake, documentation management, employee communication, return-to-work coordination, and administrative support. This position works closely with employees, supervisors, carriers, TPAs, and other claim partners to ensure timely reporting, accurate recordkeeping, and a positive claims experience.
What You'll Do:
Receive, review, and report new claims to TPAs, carriers, and claim partners.
Maintain accurate claim files, documentation, and follow-up activities.
Serve as a resource for employees and supervisors regarding claim reporting and claim status.
Collect and manage incident reports, medical documentation, witness statements, and supporting records.
Track work restrictions, return-to-work dates, and modified duty assignments.
Follow up with employees, supervisors, providers, and adjusters to obtain required information.
Assist with OSHA recordkeeping, audits, insurance renewal requests, and compliance-related activities.
Manage claims-related correspondence, reports, and departmental administrative tasks.
Escalate lost-time, litigated, or complex claims to the Claims Manager.
What You'll Bring:
Associate degree preferred; equivalent education and experience considered.
2+ years of experience in claims administration, workers' compensation, safety, HR, risk management, insurance, or a related field preferred.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong customer service and employee support mindset.
Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Teams.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Familiarity with claims management systems and handling sensitive information preferred.
