Part Time Caregiver (Hourly or Live-In) – Ocean County, NJ

A family in Ocean County, NJ 08742 is seeking a compassionate, dependable caregiver to support a 71-year-old gentleman living with Parkinson's disease, early dementia, and prostate cancer. The family is open to hiring either a part-time hourly caregiver or a part-time live-in caregiver, depending on the right candidate's availability and preferences.

Start Date:

Schedule Options:

Part-Time Hourly

• Tuesday–Thursday
• 8:00 AM–12:00 PM

Part-Time Live-In

• Thursday–Tuesday
• Private bedroom and meals provided
• Additional respite opportunities may also be available throughout the year.

Family Specifications:

• Smoke-free home
• Small dog in the home

Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care assistance
• Prepare meals and assist with cooking
• Light housekeeping, laundry, and household organization
• Engage in conversation and activities that promote cognitive stimulation
• Provide transportation and accompany care recipient to Parkinson's boxing classes
• Offer companionship while promoting safety, dignity, and independence

Requirements:

• Prior caregiving experience preferred
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable
• Self-starter who is comfortable adapting as care needs change
• Comfortable with occasional summer trips to Long Beach Island (LBI)

Compensation:

• Hourly Position: $18–$20 per hour
• Live-In Position: $200–$300 per day
• Performance-based bonus opportunities available
