As an Accounting Associate, you will help support the financial processes that keep a fast-moving technology business running smoothly. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to day-to-day accounting operations while working closely with teams across the business to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and strong internal coordination.
Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Assist in processing vendor invoices, preparing payment runs, issuing customer invoices, and tracking accounts receivable balances.
- Transaction Recording & Reconciliations: Maintain accurate general ledger entries and perform routine bank, credit card, and vendor account reconciliations.
- Cross-Team & Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with finance leadership, procurement, operations, and external vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment inquiries in a timely manner.
- Financial Reporting Support: Help prepare month-end close documentation, schedules, and preliminary balance sheet or expense analysis.
- Compliance & Audit Assistance: Support the collection and organization of financial records, receipts, and tax documentation (e.g., VAT filings and annual audit requests).
- Process Improvement: Participate in optimizing internal finance workflows and adopting digital tools to enhance speed and accuracy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 0-1 years of accounting experience, with proficiency in Excel.
- Experience working with finance leadership, procurement, operations, employees, and vendors on invoice and payment matters.
- Fluency in both English and Arabic.
- Experience with general ledger accounting is a plus.
