The role / impact

As Account Executive, you'll manage and grow a portfolio of accounting partners across Hong Kong, helping them build and execute their digital strategy while migrating their clients onto the Xero platform. You'll generate a steady pipeline of opportunities through outbound calls, meetings and marketing activity, and you'll be the main point of contact partners turn to as they grow their practice with Xero.

This is a high impact role in a small, close knit team, representing Xero directly in partner conversations, events and the wider partnership forum across Hong Kong. Your work directly shapes how accounting practices in the region experience Xero, and how quickly they grow with us.

The team & how they connect

You'll join an eight person Hong Kong sales team made up of account managers, a partner success manager and partner development reps, all reporting to the Sales Team Lead. The team works closely with Partner Consultants and Marketing to support accounting partners through every stage of their journey with Xero, and connects regularly through standups, kick offs and one to ones.

Initially, the role may focus on

• Growing usage and revenue across an existing base of Hong Kong accounting partners

• Recruiting, onboarding and educating new practices, and migrating their clients onto Xero

• Delivering partner events, webinars and certification training, in person and virtually

• Keeping partner and practice data accurate and up to date in Salesforce

Where and how you can work

You'll be based in Hong Kong, working from a co-working space with the team twice a week and connecting with colleagues across Asia the rest of the time. You'll also have access to Xero's wellbeing benefits, including boost days.

• You'll bring genuine curiosity about the online accounting and fintech space, and enjoy building strong relationships with Hong Kong's accounting community

• Speaking Cantonese comfortably is essential, so you can connect naturally with local accounting partners

• Working autonomously comes easily to you, and you're motivated to be a driving force in a small, fast moving team

• Strong communication and presentation skills help you build trust quickly, whether you're speaking with one partner or a room full of them

• A background in or exposure to an accounting practice, or familiarity with Salesforce, would set you apart, though it isn't essential

• You bring attention to detail, follow through, and a genuine desire to make a difference for the partners you support
