Daniels Health is looking for a dependable, hands-on Plant Operator to join our medical waste treatment facility in Sturtevant, WI. If you enjoy staying active, working with a supportive team, and taking on a variety of tasks throughout your shift, this could be the role for you.
As a Plant Operator, you'll play an important role in helping healthcare facilities safely manage medical waste. From operating specialized equipment to ensuring accurate documentation and safe processing procedures, every day brings something different.

What will your job involve?
Receive, weigh, and process incoming sharps and regulated medical waste containers
Operate our autoclave system for medical waste treatment
Load and operate our Washsmart container sanitization system
Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment following training as needed
Routinely lift containers weighing up to 55 lbs.
Push loaded carts weighing up to 200 lbs.
Spend the majority of your shift standing, walking, bending, reaching, and moving materials throughout the facility
Complete required paperwork and maintain accurate processing records
Follow all safety, quality, and compliance procedures
Collaborate with a hardworking team to keep operations running smoothly
What are we looking for?
Someone who enjoys physical, hands-on work and is comfortable in a fast-paced industrial environment
Experience in physically demanding roles such as warehouse, manufacturing, construction, landscaping, shipping/receiving, sanitation, or similar environments preferred (not required)
Ability to repeatedly lift, move, and transport materials throughout an entire shift
Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. regularly and safely push carts weighing up to 200 lbs.
Comfortable standing and being active for the duration of an 8+ hour shift
Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
Reliable attendance and a proven track record of dependability
