An entertainment employer in Java, NY is seeking a Vice President, People Operations to lead HR operations, workforce programs, employee relations infrastructure, and people systems across a distributed service-oriented workforce.

This leader will focus on building practical, scalable people processes that improve consistency, compliance, retention, and manager effectiveness across operating locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead people operations strategy, including HR service delivery, employee lifecycle processes, HR systems, compliance, policies, and workforce reporting.
• Partner with senior leadership and operators to improve workforce planning, retention, employee experience, and leadership capability.
• Oversee employee relations processes, investigations standards, policy administration, and manager coaching.
• Collaborate with labor relations, Legal, Finance, and Operations on workforce risk and compliance matters.
• Implement scalable HR processes that support hourly, salaried, seasonal, union, and non-union populations.
• Use HR metrics and workforce data to identify trends and recommend solutions.
• Build and develop a people operations team focused on service, consistency, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or HR certification preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive HR or people operations experience, including senior leadership responsibility.
• Experience in hospitality, food service, entertainment, restaurants, venues, resorts, or related service industries preferred.
• Strong employee relations, HR operations, compliance, and process improvement experience.
• Experience supporting multi-site or geographically dispersed teams.
• Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on operational execution.

Benefits

• $165,000 to $210,000 base salary, plus bonus eligibility
