Liquid Personnel is seeking a dedicated and experienced Children with Disabilities (CWD) Social Worker to join a supportive and forward-thinking team based in Knowsley. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and young people with complex needs. As a CWD Social Worker, you will work with children and young people aged 0–18 who have a permanent and substantial disability. You will support them and their families through assessment, planning, and intervention, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard.

What will your responsibilities be?

In this role, you will 

• Undertake statutory assessments under the Children Act 1989 (Section 17 and Section 47).
• Develop and review Child in Need, Child Protection, and Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans.
• Work closely with families to promote independence and improve outcomes.
• Liaise with schools, health professionals, and other agencies to coordinate support.
• Carry out direct work with children and young people using appropriate communication tools.
• Prepare reports for Child Protection Conferences, Looked After Reviews, and court proceedings.
• Maintain accurate and timely case records using the council’s case management system.
• Participate in team meetings, supervision, and training to support continuous professional development.

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have, 

• Qualified Social Worker (Social Work England registered).
• Experience working with children with disabilities or complex needs.
• Strong assessment, communication, and multi-agency working skills.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures.
• Enhanced DBS and full UK driving licence.
