The Social Media Manager owns Airtasker's presence across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn, blending creativity, content production and community engagement into content that's on-brand, platform-native and worth stopping to watch.

You'll capture the right moments, then write, film and edit them into stories that bring the Airtasker community to life. You'll show up in online communities to build brand loyalty, jump on cultural moments as they happen, and keep Airtasker visible in the right places, in the right ways.

It's hands-on and fast-paced, built for someone creative who doesn't need much steering.

What you'll do

• Own the social content calendar end to end: plan, create, shoot and edit across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn

• Capture real stories that show the range of Airtasker's marketplace, including Tasker and customer interviews, short-form video and reels

• Track social performance and use the data to sharpen content and strategy

• Stay ahead of cultural moments, platform trends and competitor activity to spot timely opportunities

• Work across Marketing, Product, PR, Sponsorships and Partnerships to keep social aligned with broader goals

• Share assets with the Performance team to amplify through paid channels

• Launch and run Airtasker's AU influencer program: find, brief and build long-term relationships with influencers, Taskers and brand advocates

• Partner with social leads in the US and UK to build visibility across markets and a shared approach to content

• Build out the tools and workflows needed to scale content production across territories

We'd love to hear from you if you tick some of these boxes:

• A few years of hands-on experience in organic social content and strategy

• A good handle on what works across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn

• Comfort shooting, filming and editing your own content

• Experience running an influencer program: finding people, briefing them, keeping the relationship going

• Enough data literacy to pull performance insights and turn them into content decisions

• A storyteller's instinct for what feels authentic and native to a platform, not generic

• A finger on the pulse of trends, cultural moments and platform changes

• Strong writing and communication skills, for content and for working with people across the business

• The project management chops to juggle multiple workstreams and deadlines at once

• A track record of building trust with Taskers, customers, partners and internal stakeholders

• You're genuinely into social media. You notice what works and care about the craft

• You're proactive. You don't wait around for a brief to start creating

• You've got a high bar for quality, especially in visual storytelling and editing

• You move fast and adapt when priorities or trends shift

• You collaborate well but are just as comfortable owning your own work
