Sobre este puesto de Senior Software Engineer en Txidigital
TXI is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who can see both the forest and the trees.
Building the right thing is as hard as building it right. Most products fail because they solve the wrong problem. We take a practical approach: embed integrated teams, understand the real need, then build something people actually use.
We build AI-powered workflows that solve real operational problems. Our primary focus is industrial products and services, logistics and distribution, and rail and fleet operations, with selective work in digital health, biopharma, and other industries where the challenges and mission align.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you have an opportunity to build modern, AI-enabled software that solves meaningful business challenges, partner directly with clients to shape products and technical strategy, and tackle complex engineering problems from concept through production—all while collaborating with a team that values craftsmanship, curiosity, and continuous learning.
Here’s what we expect from you
-
Expertly develop robust back-end and front-end code and have a solid understanding of different levels of automated testing to deliver reliable, well-tested features
-
Have a working knowledge of the infrastructure applications run on and can reason about how a feature deploys, scales, and operates in production
-
Drive the technical direction at the feature level, breaking down ambiguous problems, managing tasks effectively, and unblocking other engineers
-
Advocate for modular, maintainable architecture and a robust testing culture, strategically balancing test coverage, risk, and budget
-
Work fluently with AI-assisted coding and agentic development tools to move faster while holding their output to a quality bar
-
Establish healthy team norms around AI use, modeling critical evaluation of its output and communicating clearly about where it has shaped a deliverable
-
Continuously evaluate emerging technologies (including AI), capabilities, and limitations to identify new opportunities for TXI and their clients
-
Understand the client's business, build relationships with our clients, and guide strategic decisions to make them successful
-
Take ownership of the client relationship on straightforward projects, and build towards leading it on complex, politically nuanced accounts
-
Communicate professionally and empathetically, solicit and provide feedback, actively offer help, and make sure everyone is aligned
-
Work collaboratively on a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and delivery managers
-
Develop proof-of-concept prototypes and demos that showcase technical possibilities and help clients envision transformative solutions
-
Take responsibility (even when no one asks) and learn from everyone, no matter what their title is
-
Back-end: We primarily create applications in Python and Node.js (TypeScript),
-
Front-end: We generally use React, although some of our clients might use Vue.js.
-
Infrastructure: Our clients' infrastructure might be in either AWS, GCP or Azure, managed by Terraform or another IaC tool. We deploy containerized applications using Docker.
-
AI-assisted development: We expect senior engineers to work fluently with AI coding assistants and agentic tooling as part of their everyday workflow, and to help the engineering practice mature how it adopts these tools.
Our Tech Stack
Don't hesitate to apply if you don't have specific experience with our tech stack. We have a preference for folks with experience in Python, Node.js, or React, but if you’re a strong developer with experience in related tools, we want to hear from you!
Who We Are
We’re a curious and humble group of people who are intentional about personal growth and supporting each other’s careers. We’re always looking for new skills, frameworks, and approaches to understand complex problems better and challenge our assumptions. And we’re constantly pushing ourselves to experiment, explore, and challenge assumptions.
We bring that same passion for learning and growth to our clients by digging into their organizations, reframing their problem statements, and spending time with their users. This helps us move clients forward by building AI-powered workflows that support how their teams actually operate.

Some reasons why you might like working with us
We have been recognized for both our internal employee experience and for delivering a trusted customer experience. At TXI, we are intentional about the way we work and how we support both our team and our clients.
1. We help shape the work, not just execute it. TXIers are involved early, helping understand the real problem, question assumptions, and determine what is worth building. We stay close to the work through delivery, so the ideas we shape become useful systems that operate in the real world.
2. We care about DEIB (diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging). To deliver the best solutions, we need as many bright and diverse minds in the room as possible, and we need to be able to learn from them once they’re there. That’s why we’re working to create an environment that’s inclusive for everyone. Learn more about our DEIB learnings, roadmap, and history.
3. We work in a variety of industries and encourage our team members to explore new domains, solve different kinds of problems, and adopt new technologies. There is no getting bored in our portfolio. You’ll work across industrial products and services, logistics and distribution, rail and fleet operations, and select emerging industries like digital health and biopharma, and more.
4. We work in integrated teams (and avoid staff augmentation). At TXI, we seek to bring all of the good ideas to the table so you learn from the talented teammates you regularly pair with. Product, design, and development regularly collaborate, and we are all listening to the same users.
5. We are intentional about supporting each individual's growth. "Challenge and support each other" is a core value of the company, and we take that mission seriously. That's why every employee has a personal learning & development budget and a bi-weekly conversation with their manager about their progress–We’ve even established pathways for team members to unlock extra professional development resources and mini-sabbaticals, ensuring your growth remains both significant and well-supported.
6. We believe that wellness and a sustainable pace deliver the best outcomes. We commit to being dedicated partners to our clients for a sustainable 35 hours per week. We don't require regular travel or client on-site time. Our team members enjoy flexible schedules with a remote-first working environment and discretionary time off because we respect that everyone has a life outside of work.
7. We value transparency and open discussion. You will have a front-line view of the company's performance, risks and issues, finances, and budgets. With unique tools and facilitation techniques, we also regularly connect with each other and discuss topics as a company to guide our path forward.
8. We build systems that matter. We advance the causes and goals of our partners and consistently deliver outcomes for them. See some examples below.
What We Make
For over two decades, we’ve partnered with clients across industries to research, design, and build products that make a real impact. Today, that increasingly means AI-powered workflows for companies running complex operations, especially those that make, move, or maintain things. Some examples of that impact include:
<> Transforming environmental monitoring from analog tools into a real-time platform trusted by 80,000 customers
<> Building mobile workflows that improve communication between dispatch teams and millions of truck drivers
<> Connecting scientific data so researchers can answer critical questions faster
<>Improving prediction of patient enrollment in global clinical trials for life-saving drugs through the integration of advanced analytics and digital innovation
But the work is just one part of what makes TXI a rewarding place to be. We support each other’s interests—whether it’s volunteering, organizing meetups, speaking at industry events, or learning new techniques and technologies. If there's something you're passionate about, we want you to pursue it and teach it to the rest of us. Our company Brunch & Learns, Sticky Note Game, and regular practice meetings are just some of the ways we create space for sharing, learning, and professional development.

Location
We have a remote-first environment at TXI–with distributed team members in the US, Canada, South America, and Europe who are working from home. We communicate and collaborate effectively in a remote environment with tools like Miro, Notion, Slack, and Zoom. We also prioritize virtual bonding and values such as inclusivity, autonomy, and trust while ensuring we take steps to foster positive interactions between employees.
While we encourage asynchronous communication, we often work in pairs or in collaboration sessions, so it is important to have some core hours of overlap with our clients and fellow team members. Regardless of where you are living and working, we will get together in person and as a company several times a year to help build connections and foster relationships within our team.
What to expect next
If you’re chosen to move forward to the interview process, here's what it will look like.
Initial Interview: After an initial call with a member of the Recruiting Team, you’ll meet the Hiring Lead over Zoom. They will focus on your previous and current work experiences and how they relate to what you’d be doing at TXI. This stage is a 2-call process and should take no more than 90 min total. (Unless you want to dig in, chat more, and spend some extra time learning about us!)
Virtual Skills Assessment: Here is where you get a preview for the role, as well as the opportunity to show off your skills. Our goal is to get a sense of how you approach your work, how you collaborate with a team, and how you solve problems. This stage should take no more than 90 minutes total, and we'll both have a clear sense of how we work together by the end.
Final All-Team interview: At this stage, we're incredibly excited about your potential to join TXI. You'll meet with several of your potential integrated team members, and we will learn more about your business acumen and professional values. You will also spend time with members of our leadership team to talk about how TXI can support you on your journey.
Offer/Decision within 24 to 48 hours: You’ve made it! You completed the process and spent about 6-7 hours learning about us while sharing more about yourself. Once we get to this stage, we like to move fast. We are committed to debriefing within 24 hours and presenting a final decision within 48 hours (or less!) of your final interview day. If we choose to move forward, our team will collaborate with you to ensure that you have all the information you need to make the right decision for you and your career!
We take equity seriously.
