We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Platform Architect – Microsoft Fabric to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of a modern enterprise data platform built on Microsoft Fabric. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy solving complex data engineering challenges, building scalable cloud-native architectures, and driving platform excellence through automation, governance, and DevOps best practices.
As a Senior Platform Architect, you will own the end-to-end architecture of a unified data ecosystem, leveraging Microsoft Fabric capabilities such as OneLake, Data Factory, Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, Real-Time Analytics, and Power BI. Working closely with engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders, you will establish scalable development standards, implement robust CI/CD pipelines, optimize platform performance, and ensure secure, governed, and cost-efficient data operations. This is a hands-on technical leadership role that combines strategic architecture with active implementation and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and own the end-to-end Microsoft Fabric platform architecture, including OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Factory, Real-Time Analytics, and Power BI.
- Build scalable, secure, and high-performing data platforms using modern cloud-native architecture principles and medallion data models.
- Define and implement DevOps practices, including Git integration, CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, testing, and environment management.
- Develop reusable infrastructure, deployment templates, and automation frameworks using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices.
- Establish governance, security, access controls, and compliance standards across Microsoft Fabric environments.
- Optimize platform performance, workload management, and capacity utilization while driving cost governance and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analytics teams, and business stakeholders to define scalable development standards and architectural best practices.
- Lead migration initiatives from legacy data platforms to Microsoft Fabric while ensuring minimal disruption and maximum reliability.
- Build monitoring, observability, alerting, and incident response processes to maintain platform availability and performance.
- Mentor engineering teams on Microsoft Fabric architecture, DevOps methodologies, cloud engineering best practices, and platform operational excellence.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- 9+ years of experience in Data Platform Architecture, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Enterprise Data Engineering.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Data Factory, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Power BI, and Real-Time Analytics.
- Proven experience designing scalable enterprise data platforms on Microsoft Azure with modern cloud architecture principles.
- Strong knowledge of DevOps, Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code, and deployment automation using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Deep understanding of data lake architectures, Delta Lake, medallion architecture, data governance, security, and access management.
- Experience optimizing Microsoft Fabric capacity, performance, cost management, and workload monitoring.
- Proficiency in technologies such as PySpark, Spark SQL, Python, T-SQL, or KQL for data engineering and platform development.
- Experience integrating Microsoft Fabric with Azure services, APIs, automation platforms, and enterprise applications.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills with the ability to translate complex architecture into practical business solutions.
- Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Engineering, or Azure Architecture certifications, along with experience in regulated enterprise environments, will be considered a strong advantage.
