Roles & Responsibilities
A. Must-Haves (Non-negotiables)
1. Strong HR Generalist Depth
• Hands-on experience across key HR areas: employee relations, onboarding, engagement, performance cycles, compliance
• Ability to run the full HR lifecycle for a site while effectively partnering and working closely with coe's based in bangalore
2. Stakeholder Management, collaboration & Influence
• Proven ability to partner with senior business leaders (including with teams like corp affairs) + HRBPs for all units housed in the location
• Can influence without authority and navigate ambiguity in a highly collaboration-driven operating ecosystem of working with hrbp's for specific units and still driving uniformity for the site.
• Strong communication—clear, structured, and credible
3. Execution Excellence
• High ownership mindset; gets things done with minimal supervision
• Strong operational rigor (processes, timelines, follow-ups)
• Can set up people practices from scratch (critical for a new office)
4. Employee Experience Orientation
• Deep empathy with an org-first mindset
• Handles sensitive situations (grievances, conflicts) with maturity
• Drives engagement initiatives that feel authentic, not templated
5. Local Compliance & Labor Law Knowledge
• Strong understanding of UP/Lucknow law of the land, any statutory compliance
• Can manage audits, documentation, vendor coordination and work closely with cross functional central teams (like hrops and systems).
6. Culture Builder Mindset
• Ability to translate InMobi culture into this new location
• Acts as a culture carrier—not just a policy enforcer
7. Data & Insight Orientation
• Uses HR data (attrition, engagement, hiring trends) to drive decisions
• Comfortable working with dashboards / reporting
B. Good-to-Haves (Differentiators)
1. Experience Setting Up New Sites / GCCs
• Prior experience in greenfield office setup
• Exposure to scaling from 0 → 100+ employees
2. Tech / Startup Environment Experience
• Familiarity with fast-paced, high-growth cultures
• Comfort with ambiguity and evolving org structures
3. Talent landscape understanding- can contribute to building InMobi’s brand and support hiring in the region by sharing ideas with the talent partnering team in bangalore
4. Coaching Capability
• Can coach first-time managers / new leaders at the site
• Helps build leadership capability early
5. Digital & Tools Savvy
• Comfortable with HR tech stack
• Can drive adoption locally while closely partnering with HRBP's for various units
