You’ll lead a revenue finance team of approximately three people and work closely with Deal Desk, Sales Operations, Legal, Product, and the wider finance team to ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition.
This is a player-coach leadership role: you will manage, develop, and set direction for the team while staying hands-on with technical accounting, complex contracts, and large-scale data analysis in a fast-growing SaaS environment.
Your Responsibilities
Team Leadership & People Management
Lead, manage, and develop a team of two Revenue Accountants, setting clear goals and priorities and reviewing their work for quality and accuracy
Conduct regular one-to-ones, performance reviews, and career development conversations, providing coaching and actionable feedback
Allocate workloads across the close cycle, manage capacity, and ensure the team meets reporting deadlines
Build a high-performing, collaborative team culture; support hiring, onboarding, and upskilling as the team grows
Act as the primary point of escalation for the team and represent revenue accounting to finance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
Revenue Recognition
Ensure accurate and timely recognition of revenue in compliance with IFRS 15
Review and analyze contracts and add-ons to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment
Handle complex revenue scenarios across our SaaS and high-volume data environment
Financial Reporting
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual closing adjustments and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and disclosures related to revenue
Ensure accounts are closed in a timely manner with proper documentation
Data Analytics & Automation
Develop and maintain SQL queries to extract data from various infrastructure (e.g., Salesforce, Databricks) for monthly revenue closing and reporting
Use Claude to automate large-scale reconciliations between source systems and the general ledger, identifying and resolving discrepancies in real-time
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to streamline efficiency and enhance revenue recognition processes within complex contracts
Implement best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy
Drive automation and optimization of revenue workflows
Compliance and Audit
Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits and reviews
Maintain strong internal controls and documentation
Cross-functional Collaboration

Provide insights and support for business decisions
Review contracts and ensure sales teams understand revenue recognition rules
System Implementation
Participate in the implementation and maintenance of revenue recognition systems and tools
Ensure systems are configured to comply with IFRS 15 requirements
Work with large datasets, requiring strong analytical capabilities
Policy Development

Ensure documentation is clear, comprehensive, and accessible internally
Take ownership of the accounting processes
