THE ROLE
Photo Producer
The Photo Producer will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end production of brand photography and integrated video across apparel, home, and lifestyle categories. This role manages all aspects of campaign and editorial shoots—from production planning and budgeting to on-set execution and post-production delivery—ensuring projects are completed efficiently and align with the brand’s creative standards. Additionally, the role contributes to the success of PDP imagery—including negotiating and booking all talent—and maintains a consistent on-set presence to ensure shoot goals are executed effectively and on schedule.
The Photo Producer will coordinate both studio and on-location shoots while managing logistics, vendors, and talent. This role requires strong organizational and negotiation skills, with the ability to secure favorable rates for external resources and maintain cost discipline without compromising creative quality.
Responsibilities
Production Ownership
- Produce no fewer than two multi-category campaign shoots per month across apparel and home.
- Produce monthly stylist/influencer shoots designed for social and brand storytelling.
- Produce apparel editorial shoots supporting brand campaigns and seasonal launches.
- Produce home goods brand shoots, including lifestyle and product-focused content.
- Integrate video capture into photo productions whenever applicable to maximize asset output.
- Execute shoots across both studio environments and on-location settings.
Pre-Production & Planning
- Translate creative briefs into detailed production plans and timelines.
- Build and manage production budgets and cost estimates.
- Create shot lists, call sheets, schedules, and production documents.
- Source and book all production resources including:
- Photographers
- Directors / videographers
- Talent and influencers
- Hair & makeup
Studios and locations - Conduct location scouting and coordinate permits when required.
- Manage travel logistics as necessary
- Ensure all production needs are secured ahead of shoot dates.
Vendor & Talent Negotiation
- Negotiate competitive and favorable rates with all external partners including photographers, stylists, models, influencers, production companies, and studios.
- Manage usage rights, licensing terms, and deliverables to ensure brand flexibility and cost efficiency.
- Evaluate vendor bids and identify opportunities to reduce production costs without compromising quality.
- Build and maintain a strong network of creative partners and production vendors.
- Manage contracts, invoices, and documentation for all external resources.
On-Set Production
- Lead on-set operations and ensure production runs on schedule.
- Coordinate the work of photographers, video crews, stylists, HMU, and production assistants.
- Support the creative team in bringing the vision to life while maintaining efficiency and schedule discipline.
- Troubleshoot production challenges in real time and keep shoots moving.
- Maintain a safe and professional on-set environment.
Post-Production & Asset Delivery
- Oversee post-production workflows including:
- Retouching
- Color correction
- Video editing
- Asset formatting
- Manage delivery timelines for creative, marketing, and e-commerce teams.
- Track budgets and reconcile all production expenses.
- Maintain organized documentation including talent releases and usage agreements.
Qualifications
Required
- 7+ years producing photography or integrated photo/video productions.
- Experience working with fashion, apparel, lifestyle, or home brands.
- Proven ability to manage high-volume shoot schedules.
- Strong experience producing both studio and location shoots.
- Experience negotiating talent contracts and vendor rates.
- Strong production planning and organizational skills.
Preferred
- Excellent budget management and cost control.
- Vendor sourcing and negotiation expertise.
- Ability to manage multiple shoots simultaneously.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management.
- Detail-oriented and solutions-driven.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Lifting up to 50 pounds
- Standing and walking throughout the entirety of your shift
- Ability to go up and down stairs, use of ladders throughout the day as needed
- Bending, twisting, or kneeling may be required throughout the day for lifting or maneuvering objects
- May be asked to work outside or travel to shoots off-site as needed
All posted ranges are reflective of base salary and may vary depending upon experience level and location. Bonus and equity may also be provided for eligible roles.
