The Junior FP&A Specialist supports the company's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting processes that enable executive and board-level decision-making. This is a hands-on analytical role designed for someone at the beginning of their FP&A career who is eager to develop expertise in financial planning, financial modeling, and business performance analysis.
Working closely with the Senior FP&A team, you will help maintain accurate forecasts, prepare insightful financial reports, analyze business performance, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build a strong foundation in Financial Planning & Analysis within a high-growth technology company.
What You’ll Do?
- Support the monthly rolling forecast and annual budget: gather input, update driver-based models, and reconcile actuals to forecast.
- Prepare monthly variance analysis (actual vs. budget vs. prior year) across revenue, gross margin, and OPEX, and draft plain-language commentary on the drivers.
- Maintain and improve recurring reporting packs and KPI dashboards.
- Pull and validate data from source systems and BI tools; flag data-quality issues before they reach the numbers.
- Help build financial models, and ensuring formula integrity, consistent logic across periods, and clean structure.
- Assist in month-end close from the FP&A side (accruals review, cost allocations, segment tagging).
- Partners with stakeholders across finance and the wider business — department heads, budget owners, and data teams — to gather inputs, resolve discrepancies, and align on assumptions.
