Sobre este puesto de Finance Manager en RYHR
Te Taumata has recently completed a significant organisational reset. Roles have been reshaped, the finance team is being strengthened, and we're looking for people who want to help shape what comes next.
This role will suit someone who enjoys building capability, strengthening systems, and making their mark on a finance function through its next phase of development.
About us
Te Taumata is a leadership organisation established by and for Ngāti Whakaue, working across education, te reo Māori, housing development and social wellbeing.
Our work reaches hundreds of whānau, rangatahi, tamariki and kōhungahunga every year. We're guided by manaakitanga, whanaungatanga, kaitiakitanga, pono me te tika, and mana motuhake, and we mean it in practice, not just on the wall.
The role
As Finance Manager, you'll lead our finance team of three: a Management Accountant and two Finance coordinators. You will own the day to day running of the finance function, including management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial controls, and audit readiness.
This is a hands-on operational leadership. Working closely with the Financial Controller, you set the standard for how finance operates, coach and develop your team, review key outputs, and ensure information relied on by leadership and governance is accurate, timely and useful.
What you'll bring
- Experience leading a finance function or team, ideally in a multi-entity or contract funded- environment
- Strong capability in management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, month-end disciplines and internal controls
- A relevant accounting or finance qualification and strong finance leadership experience; CA, CPA or equivalent membership would be highly regarded
- The confidence to coach and develop a team, review key outputs, and maintain clear standards for quality and timeliness
- A commitment to working in a values-led, kaupapa Māori environment; an understanding of te reo me ōna tikanga would be an advantage
Why join us
Because you’ll have a real say in how this function develops. We're looking for someone who see a reset as an opportunity to build strong foundations and who wants to make a lasting contribution to how finance supports meaningful outcomes for Ngāti Whakaue.
