We are seeking for a Data Engineer for our client from the retail and tourism sector.
Job description:
- Developing new Power BI dashboards to enhance internal reporting capabilities and support data-driven decision-making.
- Building intelligent Power BI dashboards that automatically surface key insights and highlight relevant information for users.
- Refactoring and optimizing existing dashboards to improve maintainability, scalability, and enable easier rollout across multiple countries.
- Implementing multi-language support for Power BI dashboards where feasible to support international users.
- Supporting the Analytics Engineering team in improving and maintaining existing dbt models.
- Assisting with the design and implementation of new dbt models in Snowflake.
- Preparing and structuring data to enable AI-powered automated insights generation using Power BI and dbt.
- Improving report development processes by leveraging Git-based version control, automation, and GenAI-powered documentation for Power BI files.
Requirements
- Experience with Power BI, including dashboard development, data modeling, and DAX.
- Good understanding of SQL and relational databases.
- Hands-on experience with dbt and data transformation workflows.
- Experience working with Snowflake or another modern cloud data warehouse.
- Familiarity with Git and version control best practices.
- Understanding of data modeling concepts and analytics engineering principles.
- Interest in AI-powered analytics and experience with GenAI tools is a strong plus.
- Ability to optimize, refactor, and maintain BI solutions with a focus on scalability and usability.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
