Civil Construction Project Coordinator

Position Overview
We are seeking a Civil Construction Project Coordinator to support the planning and execution of commercial and institutional construction projects. This role assists with managing projects from preconstruction through closeout while coordinating subcontractors, schedules, budgets, documentation, and project compliance. Experience with Design-Build, IDIQ, Fast Track, and Lump Sum projects is highly valued.
Responsibilities
Support or manage commercial and civil construction projects from start to finish.
Maintain project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, change orders, quality records, safety documentation, and closeout packages.
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and project schedules.
Assist with estimating, quantity takeoffs, and project proposals using digitizers, 3D modeling software, and traditional takeoff methods.
Develop and maintain project schedules using construction scheduling software.
Review construction drawings, coordinate layouts, and support CADD-based dimensioning and shop drawing reviews.
Assist with contract, subcontract, and purchase order administration.
Utilize construction management software, including Project Center, USACE QCS/RMS, Prolog, and similar systems.
Identify project risks and help resolve issues before they affect project performance.
Support compliance with contract requirements, safety standards, and quality expectations.
Participate in project closeout, constructability reviews, value engineering, and continuous improvement efforts.
Attend project meetings, training opportunities, and industry networking events.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management with 2-3 years of experience supporting commercial or industrial construction projects, or 5+ years of directly related construction experience.
Experience with civil estimating and contracting for a civil general contractor or subcontractor.
IDIQ contracting experience preferred.
Experience managing subcontractors and self-performed construction activities.
Knowledge of commercial construction methods, site work, and renovation projects.
Proficiency with spreadsheets, email, and construction management software.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely on active construction sites.
Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and walk job sites throughout the day.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Manage smaller projects valued up to approximately $4 million, or support multiple projects and larger construction programs.
