About the Role (your why)
The Associate Director – Enterprise Sales Leader is responsible for leading the sales team, strategy and direction across our proposition led Sales team in Australia. Key to your success is your ability to be innovative and creative in ensuring targets are met or exceeded by the sales team selling Datacom service offerings across managed services, cybersecurity, cloud and digital platforms and applications.
Our offices are based in Perth. We like to bring people together in person when we can, but we are mindful of the national nature of the role. We therefore leave it to you and your leadership team you join to figure out what works best!
What you’ll do
The Associate Director – Enterprise Sales Leader is responsible for (but not limited to):
- Developing forward-thinking IT strategies that support Datacom ability to achieve business aspirations and capitalises on our value proposition
- Solid understanding of the Perth IT market with a substantial network at the C-level within government and corporate customers
- Understanding of the managed services, cybersecurity, cloud and digital platforms and applications market with the technical nous to pick up new offerings and services
- Proven ability to manage long sales cycles including RFP responses, working with Datacom’s pre-sales team, line-of-business owners and solution architects
- Proactively seeking initiatives which develop and broaden the corporate services available to the organisation
- Ensuring value and business outcomes are evaluated and articulated appropriately
- Managing the relationships with (and between) external agencies and suppliers, ensuring contracts and service levels are negotiated in line with strategic aims and financial constraints and ongoing service is in-line with agreed contracts
- Defining and leading the efficient and effective delivery of corporate support strategies to achieve business objectives

What you’ll bring
- Previous experience with general management experience with demonstrated experience in managing and mentoring sales teams
- Ability to lead and successful win large complex Managed Services deal within the WA market
- Broad and deep understanding of technical infrastructure projects, operations and related technology dependencies
· Lead your team to achieve and exceed WA sales targets while personally managing and closing several high-value strategic deals
- Strong business acumen with financial management experience with a clear understanding of the relationship between costs, utilisation and project revenue
- Ability to work on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends
- Demonstrated ability to implement strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
- Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements
- Prevents erroneous decisions to avoid critical delay(s) in schedules and/or unit operations that may jeopardise overall business activities
- Ability to work in large, collaborative teams and gain the cooperation of others
- Proven negotiating skills with the aptitude to ensure win/win situations for all parties
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer relationship building and management skills
- Ability to chair meetings and provide leadership in stressful situations caused by tight timeframes
