We are looking for a Mobile Engineer to help design, build, and maintain high-quality mobile applications that power our telecom platform. This role will work closely with backend engineers, platform teams, and product partners to deliver reliable and scalable mobile experiences. The ideal candidate brings deep experience building either Android or iOS applications and a strong understanding of modern mobile development practices.
This role sits within the engineering organization and focuses on building performant, maintainable, and secure mobile applications. The Mobile Engineer will contribute to architecture decisions, implement new product capabilities, and ensure high standards for code quality, testing, and release reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain Android & iOS applications that integrate with OXIO's telecom platform and APIs
Build scalable and maintainable mobile application architecture using modern Android and iOS frameworks
Collaborate closely with backend and platform engineers to design efficient API integrations
Implement high-quality, reusable, and testable code following engineering best practices
Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to improving the mobile engineering stack
Write and maintain unit tests and automated tests to ensure application stability and reliability
Optimize application performance, responsiveness, and battery efficiency
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues across devices and OS versions
Participate in code reviews to maintain engineering standards and share best practices
Support mobile application releases and help maintain CI/CD pipelines for mobile deployments
Key Qualifications:
5+ years of experience developing either Android or iOS mobile applications
Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java for Android development and familiarity with iOS platform.
Experience building and maintaining applications using modern Android frameworks and libraries and exposure to iOS frameworks (or willingness to learn)
Experience integrating mobile applications with RESTful APIs and backend services
Familiarity with mobile architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVI, or similar
Experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, and the Android build ecosystem
Strong debugging and performance optimization skills
Experience working in agile engineering environments
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and documentation skills
Nice to Have:
Experience developing iOS applications using Swift or Objective-C
Experience working with cross-platform or shared mobile architectures
Experience with mobile CI/CD pipelines and automated mobile testing
Experience with telecom platforms, connectivity services, or network-driven applications
Familiarity with mobile security best practices and secure data handling
Experience working in B2B2C or high-scale SaaS platforms
