Why Private Equity:
Private equity firms raise capital from investors to buy companies with the intention of growing them through operational improvement and strategic decision making. Full-Time Analyst Position:
A Roark Analyst will work on deal teams led by a Managing Director or Principal, taking an active role in the analysis of prospective investment opportunities and monitoring of portfolio investments. They will interact directly with all members of the firm but will typically report to an Associate or Senior Associate.  The Analyst must possess highly advanced financial and data analysis skills consistent with and complementary to Roark’s highly analytical approach to investment evaluation and long-term, growth-oriented investment strategy, as well as superior verbal and written communication skills. The Analyst will be expected to support deal teams in many aspects of the investment process including due diligence, modeling, data analysis, and industry research. They will prepare materials for and participate in meetings of Roark’s Investment Committee. The Analyst will also be directly involved in portfolio management, including monitoring the performance of existing portfolio companies, interacting with portfolio company management teams, and evaluating potential add-on acquisitions. They will also be expected to prepare detailed industry research and assist senior Roark investment professionals in developing investment strategies for new investment sub-sectors that are consistent with Roark’s investment criteria. Roark helps position new Analysts for success through extensive training and assigning mentors to help guide them during their first year with Roark.

• Outstanding academic credentials (min 3.5 GPA), preferably with a concentration in business, finance, accounting, economics, or a major evidencing strong quantitative ability
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Exceptional work ethic, deep analytical capabilities, and excellent writing and research skills
• Positive, “can do” attitude regarding no task as too big or too small
• Highly collaborative, open to feedback, willing to learn, and intellectually curious
• Capable of simultaneous task management and able to quickly shift priorities while maintaining focus

• Energetic and highly motivated with a strong sense of urgency
