The Technical Support Manager serves as the regional technical authority for the Valves & Pumps business across APAC. The role provides application expertise, technical leadership and customer-facing support to sales teams, distributors and end users, while driving technical excellence, capability development and successful project execution across the region.

Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Act as the regional technical expert for the Valves & Pumps portfolio across APAC
  • Provide advanced application engineering and product selection support to sales teams, distributors, OEMs, EPCs and end users
  • Support strategic customer projects through technical consulting, solution development and application expertise
  • Lead technical discussions, product presentations and customer workshops to strengthen GEA's market position and technical differentiation
  • Develop and deliver technical training programs to sales teams, distributors and customers across the region
  • Support specification activities and provide technical guidance during project development and quotation phases
  • Conduct site visits, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and commissioning support where required
  • Support quality issue resolution and customer claim investigations in collaboration with factory and quality teams
  • Collect, analyse and communicate market feedback, competitor intelligence and customer requirements to support business and product development
  • Act as the technical focal point between customers, distributors, sales organizations, factories and product management teams
  • Contribute to new product introductions, localization initiatives and continuous improvement activities
  • Develop and maintain technical standards, application guidelines and best practices to enhance technical capabilities across APAC

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Food Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in technical support, application engineering, process engineering or technical sales support within industrial process equipment
  • Strong technical knowledge of hygienic and aseptic processing applications, preferably within dairy, food, beverage, brewery and pharmaceutical industries
  • Experience with valves, pumps, process components or related fluid handling technologies is highly desirable
  • Proven ability to support customer projects, technical solution development and troubleshooting activities
  • Experience working with distributors, OEMs and EPCs is an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a structured and solution-oriented approach
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and commercial stakeholders
  • Strong customer orientation and the ability to translate customer requirements into practical technical solutions
  • Self-motivated team player with the ability to work effectively across different countries, cultures and functions
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems
