As a Technical Business Analyst, you'll play a key role in supporting the ongoing development and enhancement of a major digital product that supports BlueCare services across Australia.

Working within our Digital & Technology team, you'll act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into clear technical requirements that enable the successful delivery of digital solutions.

The role sits at an exciting point in the product's journey, with a significant vendor-to-internal capability transition taking place and a substantial roadmap of future features and enhancements planned.

Please note, this position is a Two-Year Fixed Term Contract based at 192 Ann Street, Brisbane, with hybrid work arrangements available.

Your part in our UnitingCare team:

  • Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners and development teams to gather and document business requirements.
  • Translate business needs into detailed technical user stories, acceptance criteria and functional specifications.
  • Facilitate collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Lead and support requirements workshops, business process mapping and solution design activities.
  • Work with developers, testers and product stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure requirements are understood and delivered successfully.
  • Support testing activities, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management and solution validation.
  • Document current and future business processes to drive continuous improvement and enhanced user experiences.
  • Assist with release planning, change management activities and stakeholder communications.
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of a mobile and web-based application environment supporting a large-scale digital transformation initiative.

We're looking for someone who combines strong stakeholder engagement skills with a technical mindset and a passion for delivering practical digital solutions.

To be successful, you will ideally bring:

  • Previous experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Digital Business Analyst or similar role.
  • Experience working on mobile applications, web applications or digital product environments.
  • Strong experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria and business requirements documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience using Figma to collaborate on digital products and solution design activities.
  • Ability to work closely with software developers and technical delivery teams.
  • Understanding of APIs, integrations, databases and modern application architectures.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to satisfy the relevant pre-employment probity checks, including a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, Right to Work in Australia verification and qualification check where applicable.

Highly regarded:

  • Experience working on Android, iOS or web-based application projects.
  • Exposure to React Native environments and mobile application delivery projects.
  • Previous development experience in .NET, C#, web or mobile technologies.
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence for Agile delivery and backlog management.
  • Understanding of cloud-based environments such as Azure or other cloud platforms.
  • Exposure to Azure DevOps, testing frameworks and release processes.
  • Understanding of SQL, database concepts and system integrations.
  • Experience working within Agile product
