Student Ambassadors are passionate about PBC and excited to see individuals find their place in God’s story. Student Ambassadors will gain sales and recruiting experience as they guide weekly campus tours, interact with prospective students via text, and promote Portland Bible College at conferences and other events. With weekly campus tours being a significant portion of the role, Student Ambassadors will meet new prospective students and their family members each week and interact with a variety of people. 

  • Hours: Fridays 10:20am-1pm; other times as needed

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a student (high school, college, or ministry school as applicable)
  • Basic administrative or event support experience preferred
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to manage a flexible schedule
  • Ability to represent Mannahouse with professionalism and integrity
  • Comfortable interacting with new people and creating a welcoming environment
  • Ability to follow direction and complete assigned tasks with attention to detail
  • Basic organizational and time management skills
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative when needed
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Must be a member in good standing of Mannahouse, including consistent attendance, ministry participation, and tithing

Responsibilities

  • Texts prospective students using Salesmsg to provide information and answer questions (some students may request a phone or Zoom call)
  • Assists with the setup and teardown of weekly campus tours
  • Leads campus tours alongside the Ambassador Team and the Recruitment Director every Friday during the school year 
  • Promotes PBC and assists with merchandise sales at events (i.e., MFI Conference, ONE Conference, college fairs, etc.)
  • Participates in the Made for More session at ONE Conference as a group leader
  • Provides essential information about the college as it relates to admissions, enrollment, campus life, and the overall student experience
  • Supports additional recruiting and admissions tasks as needed
