Peninsula Post Acute is seeking a compassionate and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our in-house rehabilitation team on a PRN basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive clinical evaluations.

  • Perform clinical swallowing evaluations and implement evidence-based dysphagia management strategies.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluations, daily treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, dietitians, therapists, residents, and families to support optimal functional outcomes.

  • Educate residents, caregivers, and staff on communication strategies, swallowing precautions, and home programs.

  • Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology.

  • Current California Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in good standing.

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship candidates (CFYs) are encouraged to apply.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and clinical skills.

  • Passion for utilizing innovative technology to improve resident outcomes.
