Job Description Summary

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in OOPS, Python, Java. The primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain embedded software for our products, ensuring high-quality code and system reliability. Additionally, familiarity with IEC-61850 standards and knowledge of HVDC systems are considered advantageous.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and debug OOPs/Python/Java based software applications
  • Collaborate with embedded engineers and other team members to integrate software applications with hardware components.
  • Ensure compliance with coding standards, software development processes, and industry best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Perform software verification and validation activities to ensure product quality and reliability.
  • Document software designs, requirements, and test procedures.
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends in embedded systems.
  • Provide technical support to other teams as needed.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in python and core Java languages.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of hands-on experience in software development.
  • Experience working with databases such as Timeseries, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc...
  • Exposure to Data science and Machine Learning algorithms.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle and methodologies (Agile, JIRA, Sprint, Confluence)
  • Excellent in problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Good to Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with IEC-61850 standards for communication networks and systems in power utility automation.
  • Knowledge of HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) systems and related technologies.
  • Knowledge of software configuration management tools such as Git or SVN.
  • Experience with Agile software development practices.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Electronic & communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
