ABB Switzerland Ltd., CMC Low Voltage Products, with around 270 employees, is a leading developer, manufacturer, and international supplier of low-voltage protection devices and the CMS current monitoring system. Your role and responsibilities


• Troubleshoot and resolve issues on highly automated production equipment (mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic)

• Perform preventive maintenance and servicing of production equipment

• Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams, Production Engineering, and external service providers to ensure smooth production operations

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the production environment, including Lean Management activities


Qualifications for the role


• Completed vocational training as an Automation Technician, Mechatronics Technician, Mechanical Technician, Production Technician, Electrician, or in a comparable technical field

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial automation, ideally within a manufacturing environment

• Experience troubleshooting and repairing complex production and assembly systems (mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic)

• NIV13 or NIV15 electrical installation certification is an advantage, or willingness to obtain it with ABB support

• Strong teamwork and communication skills, combined with a proactive and independent working style

• Basic knowledge of MS Office and SAP, as well as excellent German language skills (written and spoken); English language skills are an advantage

• Willingness to work in a three-shift operation, including on-call duty after the onboarding period
