Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will support maintenance activities necessary to achieve the required level of quality, costs and production capacity for active products. You will work closely with wider R&D and Agile teams for technical input, while maintaining strong communication with Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Production teams. You will also have the exciting opportunity to contribute to new product developments, including assembling prototypes and testing new designs — making this a fantastic role for a graduate looking to build broad engineering experience in a growing, global business.


Work model: #onsite in Napier #LI-Onsite

Main stakeholders: R&D teams, Agile teams, Quality teams, Process teams, Supply Chain Management, and Production teams


You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Developing and managing engineering changes in active products
  • Managing technical documents for production including 3D models, schematics, bills of materials (BOM), and assembly procedures
  • Establishing project specifications for production
  • Converting R&D developments into products for market and readying these for mass production
  • Problem solving analysis and investigation together with Quality and Process teams
  • Supporting production lines
  • Maintaining assembly instructions
  • Maintaining packaging instructions

Qualifications for the role

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or demonstrate equivalent practical experience
  • Proficiency in Solidworks or similar 3D modelling software
  • Strong technical skills in 2D drafting (e.g. AutoCAD) and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments
  • Nice-to-have skills: SAP experience and/or any background with power electronics equipment
